The Rapid Support Program for Micro and Small Enterprises, supported by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) and announced for the first time by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, is opening the door to jobs for thousands of young people. While the program provides an important contribution to the businesses in the service and trade sectors, it is aimed to offer job opportunities to 75 thousand graduates. Within the scope of the Rapid Support Program for Micro and Small Enterprises, it is envisaged that interest-free and collateral-free repayable support of TRY 100,000 will be provided for each employee.

"We see the Rapid Support Program as an employment mobilization"

Sharing his assessments on the matter, Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) President Mahmut Asmalı emphasized the importance of the state supports offered in parallel with the New Economy Model and stated that the employment mobilization that has been put into practice will provide job opportunities for thousands of young people.

"In the meetings we held last week, we stated that a period had begun in which the New Economy Model instils confidence in producers, industrialists and investors. We have set sail into a brand-new year in which the capacity utilization of our investors, producers and industrialists will increase further, their domestic sales will rise, their export potential will strengthen, their new investments will gain speed and innovative opportunities will be seized. In this period, in which new employment opportunities will come to the fore, we see the Rapid Support Program for Micro and Small Enterprises as an employment mobilization. With the program that has been created, the door to jobs will be opened for 75 thousand of our young people. Within this scope, a serious convenience is also being provided to businesses. We are talking about a figure such as TRY 100,000 for each employee, repayable and interest-free. When this initiative, which will strengthen employment, is combined with production and investment norms, it will have a directly positive effect on the economy. As MÜSİAD, together with our members, we will fulfil the responsibility that falls to us. We see 2022 as an important step in reaching our 2023 targets. We will continue to work with all our strength so that our country reaches strong tomorrows."

The deadline for applying to the program is 31 March

The new stage of the Rapid Support Program for Micro and Small Enterprises targets the employment of young people, new graduates and women. Within the scope of the program, businesses will be able to employ, in the designated sectors, new personnel born in 1981 and later who have never worked before or who have not worked for more than 6 months in the last 3 years.

In addition to university graduates, businesses that employ people who are graduates of vocational or technical high schools will be able to benefit from the support.

Businesses will be asked to employ a new member of personnel meeting the criteria for 12 months. Another important criterion to be sought in businesses wishing to use the support will be that they maintain their average employment of the last 12 months.

Micro and small enterprises meeting the conditions will receive repayable support of TRY 100,000 for each member of personnel they will employ. Micro enterprises will be able to use this support for up to 2 and small enterprises for up to 5 members of personnel. Should the business owner or the recruited personnel be a woman, the upper limit of the support will rise to TRY 110,000.
