The "Türkiye Economy Model, New Steps and Inflation Measures Introduction Meeting" was held at the İstanbul Congress Centre. Speaking at the meeting, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended by teleconference, Minister of Treasury and Finance Dr. Nureddin Nebati shared the details of the new economic support package.
Sharing his assessments after the programme, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı said, "With the implementation of a strict monitoring mechanism for the Credit Guarantee Fund package, the correct use of the support provided will be verified. This support package, which will be a lifeline for our investors, will expand the opportunities of our industrialists".
In his statement, President Asmalı made the following remarks:
"As the business world, we welcome with satisfaction the new support measures and steps announced at the Türkiye Economy Model, New Steps and Inflation Measures Introduction Meeting held under the leadership of our President Mr Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and we believe that the decisions taken will bring dynamism to our economy.
We had frequently voiced our concerns about high inflation in the meetings we held. With the decisions taken today, we expect the VAT reduction on basic food products to be reflected in prices at a rate of 7 percent. Our producers, too, will reciprocate these steps.
At the same time, the Credit Guarantee Fund supports worth TRY 60 billion will also be reflected positively on our entrepreneurs and industrialists in terms of employment, production and investment. In the reports we submitted, we shared our expectations regarding the prevention of the improper use of the KGF.

Alongside the steps taken by our state, we too must put our shoulder to the wheel and work wholeheartedly for our country, which is our common denominator. As MÜSİAD, we said that we trust Türkiye's potential and we accelerated our export-oriented work. We declared 2022 the Year of Investment.
