MÜSİAD, which mobilized to heal the wounds following the severe earthquakes centred on Kahramanmaraş, is continuing its work in the disaster area without interruption. The statement made by MÜSİAD noted that solidarity would be shown with the citizens in the region through the sahur and iftar tables to be set up in the disaster area.
The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) is continuing without a break its work in the provinces affected by the disaster following the severe earthquakes centred on Kahramanmaraş that occurred on 6 February. MÜSİAD, which dispatched more than 3,000 trucks to the region with the support of its domestic and international members under the coordination of the MÜSİAD Crisis Desk established from the very first moment the earthquake struck, mobilized for the region with the logistics centres it set up.
At the same time, MÜSİAD, which has set up soup kitchens and mobile kitchens in the provinces affected by the earthquake, is continuing its activities day and night to heal the wounds, including with the field hospital built in Hatay with the support of its members, while also continuing its container city work in Kahramanmaraş Elbistan and Adıyaman.
In addition to these efforts, the Qard al-Hasan call made by MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı is of great importance for the producers who have suffered damage in the disaster area. MÜSİAD, which provides interest-free or grant capital support to member businesspeople in the region through the Qard al-Hasan tradition, is also leading the way for production to continue by matching its members in the disaster area with members in other provinces.
As for the statement made by MÜSİAD regarding the month of Ramadan, it was announced that throughout the month of Ramadan MÜSİAD would stand by the citizens affected by the earthquake through the sahur and iftar tables to be set up in the disaster area.
The statement, which noted that sahur and iftar tables would be set up in the areas affected by the disaster in Kahramanmaraş, Malatya, Adıyaman, Hatay and Gaziantep, where the earthquake caused great destruction, said, "We are one and together. We will heal our wounds together and get back on our feet together".
The statement made by MÜSİAD also emphasized that aid for all the cities affected by the disaster and for the citizens evacuated from the earthquake zone was continuing without interruption, and that work was being carried out in coordination with the relevant authorities of the state in order to meet needs such as food and basic necessities, emergency health services and shelter in the region.
