With its 30-year reputable and dignified past and with all the means and activities it has placed at the service of its nation and its state since its foundation, MÜSİAD, which at the point it has reached today has become one of the world's most respected and active business and capital platforms, continues and will continue its free, autonomous and original movement, proudly representing Türkiye all over the world, preserving its independent identity as befits its name, without entering into any relationship or connection with any organization, formation or other communities.
We declare that under no circumstances do we accept, and that we condemn, the ugly, baseless and deliberate attacks directed at our Institution, which were initiated in recent days through the Young MÜSİAD formation and our MÜSİAD Bolu Branch and were subsequently portrayed as interference in the internal structures of institutions that work for the interests and prosperity of our country and that we regard as our fellow travellers.
The matter alleged to have taken place at the MÜSİAD Bolu Branch is an isolated incident that occurred between the parties concerned and is entirely a subject related to MÜSİAD's internal functioning, and it has no connection whatsoever with the organizational formation in question. To convey to the public in a one-sided and biased manner this isolated incident, which was concluded without all the parties concerned being heard and indeed in a manner befitting MÜSİAD's management and founding principles, is compatible with neither the ethics of journalism nor human ethical values.
Within the scope of its corporate structure renewed after 30 years and the projects it has offered to its homeland, MÜSİAD is expanding and growing stronger without losing its consciousness of being a virtuous person and of mutual assistance, with the respect, affection and embracing tolerance it feels for its members, for its stakeholders and for each and every individual and institution of our homeland whose cause is Türkiye and who works with this consciousness, without discriminating on the basis of religion, language, race or opinion. On the long road that such an Institution has set out upon, we evaluate these and similar attacks it encounters as deliberate acts against MÜSİAD's reputation in the eyes of the public. At the point it has reached, MÜSİAD, with its inclusiveness and with the services it provides at 312 points around the world, and with its identity devoted to its country, its state, its nation and its cause, is a solid, strong and honourable fellow traveller in the eyes of both its members and its stakeholders.
Since its foundation, MÜSİAD has, at every difficult turning point our country has passed through and despite all the conspiracy theories and disaster scenarios written and staged, always taken a stance alongside its state and its nation with its hopeful, determined and solution-oriented approaches, and has thus proved itself before history. The timing of these attacks on our Institution, which stands firm with its reputation and its past, coinciding with this period in which our homeland is rising again and, leaving the difficult days behind, is preparing to write a brand-new story in unity and solidarity, and especially with the days on which MÜSİAD's support and efforts have visibly come to the fore, is meaningful.
Reiterating the saying that the sun cannot be plastered over with mud, we recall that MÜSİAD has been subjected to such heinous attacks throughout its past and has emerged from every attack with its head held high and with honour; we announce that legal proceedings have been initiated regarding all the parties concerned in the matter; and we state that our Head Office and our local organizational units will hold a press conference in Bolu on Tuesday, 14 January 2020 and will convey the entire process regarding the matter to the public with all its details and documents.
