The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) condemned Israel's attacks on Gaza and announced that they stand by the Palestinian people once again.
The statement released by MÜSİAD said: "These attacks are contrary to human rights, international law and the values of humanity. The massacre taking place in Gaza deeply wounds not only Palestinians but all Muslims and all people of conscience."
The statement used the expressions: "As MÜSİAD, we find the siege and blockade that Israel imposes on Gaza unacceptable. In an environment where the 2.2 million people living in Gaza cannot meet their basic needs and suffer shortages of electricity, water, fuel and food, Israel's attacks will bring about even graver consequences for humanity. It is clearly evident that a humanitarian crisis is being experienced in Gaza and that the international community must not remain silent in the face of this situation."
"As MÜSİAD, we state strongly that we will continue to defend the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and that we will undertake all the initiatives required at the national and international level against Israel's attacks. The Palestinian cause is, for us, a cause of civilization. This cause lies under the shared responsibility of all Muslims and of all humanity. For this reason, we invite all non-governmental organizations, the business world and media institutions in Türkiye and in the international community to be sensitive on this matter; we call on them to stand by the oppressed Palestinian people." As MÜSİAD, we are a family that has always stood by the oppressed. Whenever a need has arisen anywhere in the world, above all the earthquake disaster we experienced in our country at the beginning of this year, we have mobilized together with our members. Now we are making our preparations for the needs that have arisen after the massacres in Gaza. Together with our members and the institutions with which we cooperate, we will stand strongly by our Palestinian brothers and sisters. In this process, as MÜSİAD, with our more than 14.000 members, we will deliver our aid to Gaza through the mediation of non-governmental organizations operating for humanitarian purposes such as the Turkish Red Crescent, İHH and the Sadakataşı Association.
We wish a swift recovery for the Palestinian people, and we pray for God's mercy upon those who have been martyred and for patience for their relatives and for all Muslims.
With God's help, we believe that the Palestinian people will be delivered from oppression and will win victory in their just cause. It must not be forgotten that leaving Palestine alone is leaving all humanity alone."
