Dear MÜSİAD Family,

As business people and tradespeople, alongside halal earnings we are filled with the enthusiasm and passion of carrying our country to higher levels economically.

Therefore, what falls to us is to work for the development of our country; to earn legitimately through Islamic means without violating anyone’s rights; to use the surplus of our earnings for the public good; to produce more, to invest and thereby to provide employment.

Thanks be to God, as MÜSİAD we have to date undertaken many valuable initiatives in terms of providing employment and increasing investment.

By launching the Anatolian Production and Investment Movement, we declared 2023 the “Year of Investment” in line with our country’s “Centenary” targets. Within this framework we established the “MÜSİAD Trade Office” and “MÜSİAD Invest”. We joined our forces to create global and major brands, and we established the Venture Capital Investment Fund.

By taking part regularly in the meetings of the Coordination Council for the Improvement of the Investment Environment, we have shared and continue to share our MÜSİAD’s views on the economy with our government.

One of the most important ways of contributing to the investment environment is the work of commercial diplomacy. As MÜSİAD we attach great importance to commercial diplomacy activities, and within this scope, while we increase our business trips with each passing day, we are also adding new ones to the number of our international branches and representative offices. In this way we have largely achieved our target of establishing MÜSİAD offices in all of the G20 countries.

We are focusing more and more each day on technology and digitalization, which are indispensable for investment and value-added production, and we strive to increase our investments in these fields.

Moreover, we attach great importance to the European Green Deal and to climate change for the sake of our future and the future of our children, and we carry out work to inform our members on these matters.

In addition, as MÜSİAD we have for years been producing intellectual work in the field of the economy. With our SAMEKS index, which we have published with great care for 10 years, with our sectoral research reports, our academic publications and our Çerçeve Magazine, which we have published for years, we put forward important ideas that offer various recommendations to decision-makers in the field of the economy.

We have come together and continue to come together with our members on various occasions both at home and abroad. Because we are here to be united and, by sharing our ideas, to walk towards a common dream.

My Esteemed Branch Presidents,

Now I would like to convey to you briefly the activities we carried out during 2023. We have prepared a presentation for this purpose. Praise be to God, our activities have been abundant; they do not fit on the pages. We are leaving behind a full year. We carried out all these activities together.
