Welcome, all of you, to MÜSİAD’s “Cyber Power Türkiye 2024 Summit”; you have honoured us…
Honourable Minister, distinguished guests,
Today we have come together to speak about the strategic priorities we face as we make use of the great opportunities offered by the digital age. In a period when digitalization is increasing rapidly, the effects of technology not only on our daily lives but also on our national security carry very great importance.
Today, artificial intelligence and cyber security are no longer merely a part of technological progress; they have also become indispensable elements for our country’s national security and future. In particular, our country’s important investments in the field of national defence are being carried out today with a visionary outlook that anticipates the future. We believe that these initiatives are extremely important and a source of pride.
In this regard, we believe that the “National Cyber Security Strategy and Action Plan”, which covers the years 2024-2028 and addresses the issue of cyber security at the highest level for our country, will be a guide for our future.
Immediately after our circular published in the Official Gazette on 7 September, we as MÜSİAD also took action and prepared our report entitled “......” in order to bring the issue of cyber security and artificial intelligence onto the agenda together with both the private sector and civil society and to contribute to the work to be carried out at the level of the state; and we planned this summit.
As MÜSİAD, by developing domestic and national solutions, we aim for Türkiye to hold a secure and strong position in this field. Because cyber security, as we all know, has become a critical priority for protecting all our assets, identities and data in the digital world.
Distinguished guests, esteemed members of the press,
In order to build our country’s digital future and to make it sustainable, we must first of all make our technology infrastructure stronger. For this, we must make major investments under the guidance of our state and move forward with a road map in line with our “National Cyber Security Strategy and Action Plan”.
Together with the nearly 60 thousand companies within our structure, we as MÜSİAD are making every effort to offer the strongest contribution to this road map, and God willing we will continue to do so.
Along with this effort, I believe that with the capacity for technological transformation and for anticipating cyber threats and responding to them rapidly, we will carry our country to a competitive position in this field. Moreover, we also foresee an increase in the number of our domestic and national companies working in this field.
Türkiye’s “Cyber Power” vision offers us a strategic road map in this process. We regard consolidating our country’s digital independence by producing national solutions in fields such as artificial intelligence and cyber security as one of our most fundamental priorities. As MÜSİAD, in order to reach this goal, we also aim to establish strong cooperation among the private sector, the public sector and academia and to serve as a bridge.
Our priority is to ensure that Türkiye’s digital infrastructure becomes stronger through the integration of artificial intelligence technologies into cyber security systems. In this way we are building our country’s digital future all together.
The steps we will take with the vision of a “Fully Independent Türkiye” will not only develop strategies against today’s digital threats, but will also provide the strength to anticipate the new problems we may face in the future and to be prepared for them.

Our belief that this summit will produce fruitful results for our country is complete. The steps we will take all together to secure our digital future will make Türkiye one of the strongest actors of the technology world.
As we do today, in the coming period we as MÜSİAD will continue to contribute to our country’s digital transformation process and will continue our work to develop technologies that will strengthen our cyber security. This will be one of MÜSİAD’s foremost national duties.
Our report entitled “......”, which we have published, is also one of the steps taken so that our country may be a pioneer and a guide in technology and digitalization. I hope that our report will, with God’s permission, contribute to our domestic and national work in the field of cyber security, and I pray that it will be a means to good outcomes.
I thank the Chairman of our MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board, who made important efforts both in the preparation of our report and in the realization of our summit, the esteemed names of our sector who contributed to the summit, and the MÜSİAD Family.
God willing, I hope that together with this important summit our report will lead to steps that will further strengthen Türkiye’s position in the digital world.
