I greet you all with the most sincere respect and affection.

Welcome to the HAVELSAN & MÜSİAD Supplier Days event; you have honoured us with your presence…

In today’s program we will, God willing, have the opportunity to highlight the important work carried out by our defence industry, one of the most important sectors shaping Türkiye’s future, in line with its vision of domestic and national production.

As MÜSİAD, we are continuing our work without slowing down in order to support the goals of localization and nationalization in the defence industry, to build strong collaborations in this field and to ensure sectoral integration.

Because we know very well that, from our point of view, the defence industry is not merely a security sector; it is at the same time a strategic force that carries technology, digitalization, the economy and industrialization far forward.

The companies coming together here today have the potential to work jointly in many critical fields of the defence industry such as production, software, R&D, design and hardware. I wholeheartedly believe that the collaborations to be established between MÜSİAD members and HAVELSAN will further increase the current domestic content rates in our defence sector and that this in turn will contribute to our economy.

Esteemed Participants,

We all know that, without a strong defence industry, it is not possible to conduct strong diplomacy in the international arena and to display an independent stance. With the strides it has made in the defence industry over the last 20 years, Türkiye has significantly reduced its dependence on foreign sources in this field and has raised the domestic content rate to levels of %80.

It is thanks to this that, with the UAVs and armed UAVs, national software, armoured vehicles and defence technologies we produce, we have today become an actor that holds power not only on a regional but on a global scale.

As we advance in line with our “Century of Türkiye” goal, to which our esteemed President points at every opportunity, the great distance we have covered in the defence industry will also be one of the indicators of this.

These successes have opened the door to a great transformation for us not only in the field of defence but also in the economy... The defence sector serves as a lever that directly affects many sectors, from the manufacturing industry to software, from logistics to energy. For this reason, every single investment to be made in the defence sector will in essence also have been made in our country’s economic independence.

Esteemed Guests, dear MÜSİAD Family,

The primary goal of today’s event is, as much as to contribute to our country’s defence sector, at the same time to raise its economic power to higher levels.

The B2B meetings we have arranged at today’s event are a concrete step taken in line with the goals we have mentioned. Our MÜSİAD members will find the opportunity to work with HAVELSAN across a broad spectrum, from R&D and design processes to hardware supply, from production to supplier industry collaborations. These meetings will not only provide commercial gain; they will at the same time accelerate technology development and sectoral transformation processes.

As you know, the matters of localization and nationalization are the cornerstone not only of our defence industry but of all the sectors of our country. Thanks to the collaborations realized here today, in line with our understanding of “High Morality, High Technology”, God willing a stronger economic ecosystem will be formed. We are making great efforts to put our shoulder to the wheel for every kind of support on this matter.

Working on projects that will consolidate our independence in critical sectors such as the defence industry is a responsibility that is the guarantee of our future. As MÜSİAD, we attach great importance to the mobilization of domestic and national production so that our business world can compete on a global scale.

The partnerships established here today will lay the foundations of the projects that build the Türkiye of the future. May God bless our work and make it a means of rendering auspicious services to our nation.

At this special event, which we have organized in cooperation with our MÜSİAD Defence Industry and Digital Transformation Sector Boards, we have come together in order to strengthen the cooperation with HAVELSAN and to expand the supply network...

The potential business opportunities and procurement transactions among our participating companies will support the development of the sector. In this way, by encouraging cross-sectoral collaborations, we aim to accelerate procurement processes and to establish high-quality and long-term business partnerships.

Among the valued companies taking part in this important event of ours, alongside our members of the defence industry sector first and foremost, representatives of many other sectors also took their place, including digital transformation, technology, energy, food, construction, services, machinery, logistics, health, tourism, and printing, publishing and media. We thank all our companies and members who have shown us this regard from the bottom of our hearts.
