The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) is a “Businessmen's Association” founded in İstanbul on 9 May 1990 by conscientious businessmen who set out with the dream of a Türkiye in which local and universal values embedded in history and society are observed, which is effective in the economic and political spheres and which is respected in the world.
And I stand before you with the MÜSİAD Visionary 2021 program, one of the important branches within MÜSİAD.
In all our activities we wish to see you, our esteemed members of the press, at our side as well. Your views and your suggestions are important to us. On behalf of all my colleagues, I thank you once again for your participation.
Today I should like to tell you about the work we have carried out for our 2021 MÜSİAD Visionary Summit. We held meetings with our board team, with our colleagues and with our advertising agency, we determined our goals and, within the framework of creative ideas, we sought to make our summit different. Of course, in doing so, our greatest aim was that our actions should be directed towards benefit...
Visionary is an event that we hold for the benefit of society, with the aim of informing business people in Türkiye, preparing them for the future and helping them to develop trust-focused business connections.
Our program, organized with the aim of Türkiye's development, of its becoming a country with a say in the future, and of forming consciousness and awareness at the level of society, seeks to bring forward proposals for solutions to our country's problems.
Every two years we organize the MÜSİAD Visionary Summit, which is of a nature to shed light on our today and on our tomorrow. While charting a new course for the world of business and the economy with MÜSİAD Visionary, we aim to create awareness in the professional business world by hosting leaders who are experts in their fields.
Esteemed Members of the Press;
As you know, we held the first MÜSİAD Visionary in 2015. At our first summit, in order to form a new discourse for the sector in the context of business and the economy, we used the motto “Doing Business with the Future”, hosted leaders who are experts in their fields and sought to create awareness in the business world.
The new markets of the coming 50 years were discussed together with the needs and behavioural tendencies that change in line with changing living conditions and technological innovations, and the subjects of Technology in the Future, Human Resources in the Future and Branding in the Future were addressed.
Again at our Visionary Summit of 2015, while it was noted that a vision of the future is not possible without investment in human resources, it was stated that Türkiye has the opportunity to create a brand in every field.
The second Visionary, which is in the nature of a road map for Türkiye, one of the world's fastest developing countries, we organized in 2017. We formed the concept of ‘Transformation', which stands before us as the most important element of existing in the future. Under the main headings of ‘Why Transformation', ‘How Transformation', ‘Transformation into What' and ‘Türkiye's Transformation', we once again brought the sector's leading names together with you.
We addressed subjects concerning how important global influences are in Türkiye's development and progress, and we touched upon how transformation ought to take place. And within this framework;
- The importance of Visionary'17 in the building of Türkiye's future,
- How should Türkiye achieve transformation?
- What will the effects of transformation be?
-How should young people contribute to the transformation in Türkiye?
-What are the contributions of Visionary'17 to economic cooperation? We sought to answer these questions together.
In order to draw attention to the technological developments taking place in the world, MÜSİAD had determined the subject of the Visionary'19 Summit as “Digital Future”. At our summit, which our Honourable President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan honoured with his participation, different session headings such as digitalization, national capital in the global market and the cities of the future were addressed.
In 2019, with the theme of “Digital future", we laid transformation on the table with its many different layers and aspects, addressed a multifaceted program ranging from politics to diplomacy and from the new rules of trade to the new routes of trade, and discussed together the new concepts that make up national power.

And now we come to the content of the Visionary of 2021!
While transformation and development in human life has advanced rapidly over the last century, it has also left different effects on each one of us. The concepts of technology, digital, global and innovative have now become an inseparable part of our lives, and their effects have been reflected in the way we live. And these effects have become the means by which all of us Notice the newly established world order.
As MÜSİAD Visionary, with this insight, we too determined the title of our 2021 program as “Notice”. Because everything begins with Noticing, and to Notice means to build the future.
It should not be forgotten that the developing, transforming age now wants us to notice everything. Countries move ahead in the global arena with their innovative differences; brands reach their customers with the most varied marketing tactics.
Dear friends, in truth in this age it is the one who Notices who succeeds. And where does he succeed?
He succeeds in trade, he succeeds in the digital field, he succeeds in innovation, he succeeds in the field of health; in short, the person who notices becomes the lead role of the newly established world order.
And we, as the MÜSİAD Visionary family, want our country to be in the lead role in the global arena, and that is why we say Notice…
Esteemed Members of the Press;
For all of us, MÜSİAD is a hearth, a school, a voluntary body. Setting out from the words “I love the created for the sake of the Creator”, spoken by Yunus Emre with divine love, our door is open to everyone who wishes to serve our country and our people.
Setting out from the thoughts of the spiritual personalities of these great figures who built the fundamental values of our society and our culture, with our understanding that embraces knowledge, learning and innovation, we as MÜSİAD had determined our discourse as “High Morality, High Technology”. And in line with this discourse of ours, we are drawing new road maps together by combining our past experience with today's innovations.
As you know, with the inspiration we draw from our domestic and national production power and with our vision of quality service, we are designing business models that undertake world-class work in almost every field and
that will set an example to the world. And in doing so, we make use of the principle of High Technology.
And so, establishing High Technology as our main heading at the 4th Summit of MÜSİAD Visionary;

“Everything Begins with Noticing; to Notice Means Everything” … At MÜSİAD Visionary'21 as well, by saying Notice the Digital, the Climate, the Enterprise and the Transformation, we aim to understand today together and to make sense together of the world in which we live.
While we advance with confident steps towards our goal of a stronger, more sustainable, more productive and brighter Türkiye, we aim, with our production-oriented sectors, with our technological breakthroughs shaped by the Industry 4.0 vision, and by placing advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, augmented reality, big data and virtual reality at the centre, to Notice today together within the framework of High Technology, with our speakers and guests who are experts in their fields.
Like Mawlana's metaphor of the compass, with one leg we are together with the whole world, while with the other we are a hearth in Anatolia that holds fast to our fixed spiritual values. For this reason, when we say High Technology we do not forget our words of High Morality either.
Under our main heading of High Morality, knowing it to be an indispensable duty of ours to make the values living in this country of ours noticed, under the heading “Notice Our Values” that we created specially, we shall have the pride of hosting the Psychiatrist Professor Doctor Kemal Sayar, and Professor Doctor Sadettin Ökten, who is known for his talks and works on the subjects of the city and civilization, and especially Islamic civilization. And with this perspective we aim to convey our discourse of High Morality, High Technology in the best possible way at the Visionary'21 Notice Summit.

In order to create awareness in all the work we shall carry out, we are advancing with confident steps towards our goal of a stronger, more sustainable, more productive and brighter Türkiye. As MÜSİAD, while doing this, together with my esteemed fellow commission members and our academics, we are putting forward an entirely different claim at this year's Visionary'21 Notice Summit.
The Paris Climate Agreement places significant responsibilities upon our business world through a series of implementations within the scope of the struggle against the climate crisis. Within this scope we, as MÜSİAD, have fundamental goals. Storage for a sustainable renewable energy will be among our goals. We shall focus not only on renewable energy but on other green energies as well. As MÜSİAD, we shall both protect our world and include among our goals the production of solutions for industry for the sake of modern society. In addition, we are making strategic plans to present business models on entrepreneurship that will set an example to the world.
We formed a workshop together with the Chairman of our Energy and Environment Sector Board, the Chairman of our Digital Transformation Sector Board and our most esteemed academics. As MÜSİAD, we shall share with you our manifestos concerning Climate and Enterprise, together with the proposals emerging from our workshop, at our Notice Summit to be held on 22 December at the Haliç Congress Centre.

This year we aim to appear before you with “A Different Visionary”. One of our differences this year is that, at the time of the program, we plan to design an NFT exhibition and present it for the appreciation of our esteemed participants and of yourselves. With the NFT, which adds a new meaning to the art of our day, we aim to exhibit digitally, in the form of an exhibition, the works of art produced by a variety of different artists, and to offer an artistic feast for all our visiting guests.
This year our events, worthy of our main slogan, have been designed in a way that will make a difference. One of these will be the “Start-Up Exchange Stage” that we created specially for Visionary'21 Notice. Entrepreneurs who carry out start-up activities in our country and who attach importance to the Start-Up spirit will take this stage. By describing the ventures they have founded or that are in the process of being founded, they will speak of their vision and their mission. Thus they will have shown a road map to those who have a start-up idea among their plans for the future.

As MÜSİAD, at the Visionary'21 Notice Summit we interpret today and dream entirely different dreams for the days to come. Through all the work we shall carry out, by binding ourselves ever more closely to one another, we can make our beautiful country stronger in every respect in the light of affection and of knowledge.

We invite everyone who wishes to notice the world in which we live, and who wishes to devote everything they notice, in its finest form, to humanity and to the world, to MÜSİAD Visionary 21 at the Haliç Congress Centre on 22 December.
