The MÜSİAD Agriculture, Food and Livestock Sector Board came together with public institutions, local administrations and its members within the scope of the business trip it carried out in Kastamonu and held important contacts aimed at the development of the sector.
Within the scope of the Kastamonu Business Trip Programme organized by the MÜSİAD Agriculture, Food and Livestock Sector Board, institutional visits, field examinations and consultation meetings were held.
At the first stop of the programme, MÜSİAD Kastamonu Branch President Mustafa Akif Özmat was visited. At the meeting, information was obtained about the activities carried out by the Kastamonu Branch, its membership structure and its work in the region, while mutual cooperation opportunities were evaluated.
The delegation subsequently visited Taşköprü Mayor Hüseyin Arslan. During the visit, while information was given about the activities of MÜSİAD and of the Agriculture, Food and Livestock Sector Board, the production capacity of Taşköprü garlic, the needs in the cold chain and storage infrastructure and the proposed solutions for the sector were addressed. The programme ended with the presentation of a certificate to Mayor Hüseyin Arslan.
Within the scope of the business trip, the delegation, which took part in the Taşköprü garlic harvest, examined the production processes on the spot, came together with the producers and made assessments about the current situation of the sector.
In the continuation of the programme, Devrekani Feedlot Organized Agriculture Zone Director Niyazi Sinsi was visited. At the meeting held, the activities of the Organized Agriculture Zone, its investment potential and the work being carried out were evaluated. Views were exchanged with Devrekani District Governor Umut Pazarcı, who attended the meeting, on the agricultural development of the region.
In the last part of the Kastamonu programme, the Kastilya Facilities belonging to a MÜSİAD member were visited. At the get-together and consultation meeting held with the participation of the members, the current situation of the sector, cooperation opportunities and the activities of the coming period were addressed.
The Kastamonu Business Trip Programme of the MÜSİAD Agriculture, Food and Livestock Sector Board was completed, following the productive contacts held with public institutions, local administrations and members, with important gains that will contribute to strengthening regional cooperation.
