The Get-Together and Consultation Meeting with Region 4 Machinery Sector Members, hosted by the MÜSİAD Konya Branch, was a productive meeting in which the issues of the machinery sector were consulted on and solution-oriented strategies were addressed.
While the board headed by Branch President Mehmet Hilmi KAĞNICI hosted the meeting, MÜSİAD Head Office Machinery Sector Board Chairman İsmail SOMALI, his deputies Mustafa AKÇA, Süleyman ŞENGÜL and Vedat ÇELİK and the board members attended. In addition, machinery sector members coming from Konya, Ankara and Karaman also attended the meeting.
At the consultation meeting, the problems experienced in the manufacturing industry and the proposed solutions to these problems were put on the table in detail. Dwelling on the general situation of the industrial sector and in particular the importance of the machinery sector, strategies for increasing the potential in the sector were discussed. While the value that production-oriented investments carry for the country's economy and the business world was emphasized, the difficulties faced by industrialists and the steps that can be taken to overcome these difficulties were addressed.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that the perspective and perception towards the sector must change and that quality-oriented production is important. Sustainability was also one of the important agenda items of the meeting. It was stated that approaches placing quality and sustainability at the centre must be adopted and that in this way the international competitiveness of the sector could be increased. It was expressed that with the use of sustainable production methods and innovative technologies, the machinery sector must advance towards the future with firmer steps.
In this context, İsmail SOMALI gave information about the TÜİT (Türkiye Consultation Meeting) programme of the Machinery Sector Board, to be held on Saturday, 19 October 2024 at the Eskişehir Osmangazi University Congress Centre, hosted by the Eskişehir Branch, at which the subjects of "Sustainability, Efficiency and Standardization" will be addressed. SOMALI stated that this programme will be organized in order to create awareness on the issues of sustainability and efficiency in the sector, to emphasize the importance of standardization and to increase cooperation in the sector. He expressed that the meeting will be an important programme for determining strategies for the future of the sector by bringing together representatives and experts of the machinery sector.
The meeting ended with productive discussions and an exchange of information held in order to strengthen inter-regional cooperation and to raise the potential in the sector to the highest level. As the participants shared the current developments in the sector and their forecasts for the future, the necessity of carrying out cooperation and projects aimed at advancing within the framework of collective wisdom and cooperation was emphasized.
Within the scope of MÜSİAD's valuable social responsibility project, at the end of the meeting an Orphan Sponsorship Certificate was presented as a gift to Branch President Mehmet Hilmi KAĞNICI, Branch Vice President Ömer KARAKUŞ and Machinery Sector Board Chairman Samet TEKELİOĞLU. This meaningful gift is an important example of work that reinforces MÜSİAD's consciousness of social responsibility.
