MÜSİAD has launched the "Anatolian Production and Investment Movement", covering investments of more than TRY 15 billion at more than 40 locations, including metropolitan cities. The movement aims to encourage investment activities in Anatolia and to support regional development.

The statement issued by the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) covered the active investment activities of MÜSİAD member companies. The assessment, presented under the name of the Anatolian Production and Investment Movement, referred to the investments launched at more than 40 locations with the aim of encouraging investment activities in Anatolia.

The initiative, which covers an investment of more than TRY 15 billion planned and ongoing in 2022, aims to support regional development and thereby to contribute to indirect and direct employment and production. 
The investments carried out at more than 40 locations, primarily Adana, Afyon, Balıkesir, Çanakkale, Düzce, Mersin, Samsun, Karabük, Kahramanmaraş, Kastamonu, Gümüşhane, Tokat, Kırşehir, Kayseri, Konya and Hatay, are expected to support the export-oriented production mechanism.

Making assessments on the matter following the meeting held with President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Vahdettin Mansion in İstanbul, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı stated that MÜSİAD, as Türkiye’s largest, most widespread and strongest capital platform, has taken a leading role in investment policies.

Recalling that MÜSİAD and its members have in every period put their shoulder to the wheel both regionally and nationally and taken steps supporting production and employment, President Asmalı emphasized that positive movements supporting the economy will continue in the coming period. 

“We aim to increase the number of provinces exceeding USD 1 billion in exports to at least 30”

President Asmalı, drawing attention to the importance of regional development within the scope of production, investment and employment policies, stated that spreading production across 81 provinces will strengthen regional economic developments.

MÜSİAD President Asmalı made the following statements:

"Today, as MÜSİAD, we have more confidence than ever in Anatolia’s producers who are open to competition and who have succeeded in entering global markets. İstanbul, Ankara and İzmir of course continue their leading roles for the country’s economy. Nevertheless, our other 78 provinces have proved what great potential they have with the approximately USD 115 billion in exports they achieved in 2021. Exactly 18 of these 78 provinces have passed the USD 1 billion threshold in exports. As a result of the Production and Investment Movement we have launched, we aim to increase the number of our provinces exceeding USD 1 billion in exports to at least 30."
