Within the scope of the program the MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board held in Hakkâri, a meaningful event was organized for special education students on the occasion of 2 April Autism Awareness Day. The Governor of Hakkari, the MÜSİAD Vice President and the Chairman of the Sector Boards also accompanied the event, giving their support to the Chairman of the Construction and Building Materials Sector Board.
At the program held at Hakkâri Atatürk Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, one-to-one time was spent with the students studying in the special education class and their happiness was shared.
At the event, while signed jerseys prepared according to the teams the students support were presented to them as gifts, a cake was cut together as a memento of this meaningful day. They thanked the players of the Fenerbahçe, Galatasaray, Beşiktaş and Trabzonspor teams for signing the jerseys one by one for this meaningful event.
The MÜSİAD delegation taking part in the program, showing close interest in the special children, emphasized that touching their world should not be limited to an awareness day alone.
Drawing attention to the fact that autism is not a deficiency but a different point of view, the officials pointed to the importance of increasing awareness so that these special individuals can take part more strongly in social life.
The event that was held was not only a celebration; it also delivered a strong message for empathy, inclusiveness and social solidarity.
