The Tourism Sector Board Supplier Day event was held at the MÜSİAD Head Office by the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) Tourism Sector Board.
MÜSİAD held the Supplier Days events, which it regularly implements throughout the year, this time with a focus on the tourism sector. The “Tourism Sector Board Supplier Day” programme organized by the MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board brought together the sector's leading purchasing companies and MÜSİAD member producers and suppliers on the same platform. New collaborations and commercial opportunities were addressed through the B2B meetings held within the scope of the programme.
At the organization, held with the aim of strengthening the tourism supply chain, 100 supplier companies operating in different fields of the sector took part. In the programme, which was attended by 30 different purchasers, a total of 1,224 B2B appointments were held throughout the day. This intensive interaction revealed that the programme produced concrete and high value-added outputs for the tourism sector.
Throughout the programme, companies operating in the sub-supply fields of tourism, primarily accommodation, food and beverage, services, technology and equipment, held one-to-one meetings with purchasing teams. Thanks to direct contact, the participants found the opportunity to introduce their products and services, to gain access to new markets and to develop sustainable commercial relations.
At the event, implemented with the aims of increasing the competitiveness of domestic suppliers in the tourism sector, raising quality standards and strengthening efficiency in the supply chain, sustainable tourism, service quality, the contribution of domestic production to the sector and the structural needs of the sector were also addressed. The mutual sharing of experience and the environment of direct communication laid the ground for long-term collaborations.
Held with intensive participation, the Tourism Sector Board Supplier Day stood out as a strong reflection in the field of tourism of MÜSİAD's vision of developing production, trade and sectoral collaborations. The programme was an important gathering that increased supplier–purchaser integration in the tourism sector and facilitated the access of domestic companies to the market.
