With the participation of MÜSİAD Defence Industry Sector Board Chairman Halil Akgül, Sector Boards Commission Vice Chairman Fatih Altunbaş, Machinery Sector Board Chairman İsmail Somalı and Metal and Mining Sector Board Chairman Muhittin Can, a visit was made to the 5th Main Maintenance Factory Directorate affiliated to the General Directorate of Military Factories of the Ministry of National Defence.
During the visit, comprehensive consultations were held together with 5th Main Maintenance Factory Director Brigadier General Kadir Eğriboyun and 5th Main Maintenance Factory Technical Director Colonel Can Candaş.
At the meeting, while information was received about the structure, field of duty and the activities carried out by the General Directorate of Military Factories, the role and technical capabilities of the 5th Main Maintenance Factory Directorate within the defence industry ecosystem were evaluated. In addition, the opportunities for inter-sectoral cooperation and the potential areas of work aimed at strengthening domestic production were addressed.
It is aimed that the visit will contribute to the development of public-private sector cooperation in the field of the defence industry and to the strengthening of sustainable communication channels between MÜSİAD sector boards and the relevant institutions
