Travelling to Van on 15 September 2023 together with the members of the Sector Board, the Agriculture, Food and Livestock Sector Board took part in numerous programmes there.
The Sector Board, which began its programme with a visit to Prof. Dr. Hamdullah ŞEVLİ, Rector of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University, then attended the opening of the Van Gourmet Fair. At 15:30, Sector Board Chairman Cemal Özen and Vice Chairman Kadri Büyükhelvacıgil took part as speakers in the panel entitled "Where Is the Sector Heading", organized by the MÜSİAD Van Branch.
On the second day of the programme, with visits to Necdet Takva, President of the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Turan Avcı, Chairman of the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry Assembly, and with member visits, the Agriculture, Food and Livestock Sector Board 5th Region Van introduction and consultation meeting was held and the Van Programme was concluded.
As a result of the regional meeting, it was decided that MÜSİAD would cooperate with Van 100. Yıl University on the employment of students in their final year of study and would put into practice the “Van Genç” employment project, and that it would cooperate with the Van Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the marketing and advertising work the Chamber will launch in order to raise awareness on the subject of “shoppers making their purchases from local brands and local markets”.
