Türkiye did not remain silent in the face of the flood disaster and the loss of life in the Petropolis region of Brazil. The aid sent to the region in cooperation between AFAD and MÜSİAD Brazil is being delivered to those in need.

The flood disaster in the city of Petrolis in the state of Rio de Janerio in Brazil adversely affected life. Not remaining silent in the face of the disaster in which many people lost their lives, Türkiye extended a helping hand to those in need through its diplomatic missions in the region.

The AFAD aid, prepared in coordination with Türkiye's Embassy in Brazil and its Consulate General in Sao Paulo and with the contributions of MÜSİAD Brazil as well, was sent to the region to be delivered to those in need.

Meanwhile, Türkiye's Consul General in Sao Paulo Gürsel Evren, Sao Pulo State Secretary for Social Affairs Celia Parnes and MÜSİAD Brazil President Umut Eker set off for the region and met with the disaster victims.

Türkiye's initiatives to heal the wounds in the region are continuing.
