The signing ceremony for TOMTAŞ Aviation and Technology Inc., to be established through the joint force and joint investment of MÜSİAD Kayseri, Turkish Aerospace Industries, ASFAT, TOMTAŞ Investment and Erciyes Teknopark, was held in Kayseri with the honoured attendance of Minister of National Defence Mr. Hulusi Akar.


With the high vision of the Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye Mr. Hulusi Akar, the support of our state and the heartfelt cooperation of the stakeholder institutions, the mission of the first aircraft factory established in Kayseri in the history of the Republic of Türkiye is coming to life once again. The joint venture signing ceremony of the factory, where aviation and defence industry systems will be developed and modernized and production processes will be carried out under the umbrella of TOMTAŞ Investment, was attended by Minister of National Defence Hulisi Akar, TUSAŞ General Manager Prof. Dr. Temel Kotil, deputies, the provincial protocol and MÜSİAD Kayseri members.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of National Defence Akar said: ‘This investment, which will be a source of pride for our country and our Kayseri, will continue its activities in the defence and aviation industry with the experience coming from Kayseri's history and will make a great contribution to our reaching our domestic and national defence industry targets’.

Stating that the developments taking place in the world, whether positive or negative, will affect our country as well, Akar spoke about the projects and developments successfully carried out in the aviation and defence industry for us to reach a prosperous level of civilization and for our internal security.

Mr. Ferhat Akmermer, a stakeholder of the TOMTAŞ Investment company and at the same time the President of MÜSİAD Kayseri, said: ‘Our country, which develops with domestic means the technologies the world is talking about, will carry out work that will set an example for the world with next-generation technologies for the defence industry’.
