As the MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board, a business trip was made to Venezuela between 14 and 18 August.

Within the framework of the visit programme, the MÜSİAD Venezuela Branch was visited. Branch President Hayri Küçükyavuz provided information about the branch's establishment process and shared assessments on the Venezuelan economy and investment opportunities. The Tourism Sector Board management, for its part, introduced the board's activities and exchanged views on mutual cooperation opportunities.

Subsequently, the “Rueda de Negocios Internacional” Fair was visited. The stands in the fair area were examined and B2B meetings were also held.

The programme continued with a meeting with the Minister of Tourism of Venezuela, Ms. Leticia Gomez. Minister Gomez welcomed our delegation, introduced the Ministry team, emphasized their confidence in the brotherly country Türkiye and expressed her satisfaction with MÜSİAD's participation in the “Rueda de Negocios Internacional” event held in Venezuela.

At the meeting, the MÜSİAD delegation conveyed the greetings of President Burhan Özdemir and Tourism Sector Board Chairman Mecit Kılınçarslan. It was stated that the cooperation between Türkiye and Venezuela should be strengthened further. The Tourism Sector Board delegation also introduced themselves.

Minister Gomez stated that within the scope of the cooperation with Venetur, financial support could be provided for advertising and other expenses for tours to be organized together with Türkiye, and that they could also offer facilities in international investment incentives. The meeting ended with the mutual presentation of gifts and a commemorative photograph.

Following the meeting with the Minister of Tourism, a meeting was held in the fair area with the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Caracas, Mr. Aydan Karamanoğlu, and a gift was presented to him.

In the final part of the programme, introductions and B2B meetings were held with the Iranian tourism investors who had come to Venezuela.
