At the meeting, comprehensive assessments were made on the fields of work of the Chemicals Sector Board and on the region's production capacity and commercial potential. Technical proposals on how the region could create higher added value through the integration of agriculture and chemicals were put on the agenda.
Our recommendations on processing agricultural products through chemical processes to turn them into products with high commercial value that are not manufactured in our country, such as nitrocellulose from cotton waste (propellant fuel in firearms) and wheat gluten / wheat protein from wheat, drew great interest from our members in the region.
These investment ideas were supported with data such as current import figures and the world market prices of the end products.
The programme, which continued with our presentation delivered by our Vice Chairman of the Chemicals Sector Board Oktay Köse, was completed with the mutual presentation of gifts.
