A Business Development Meeting was held between the MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board and the President and Delegation of the French Construction Federation at the MÜSİAD Head Office on Friday, 19 April.
Beginning his remarks with a welcoming speech, Construction and Building Materials Sector Board Chairman Cemil Yüksekdağ said:
“MÜSİAD is one of the largest civil society organizations in Türkiye and even in the world, with 14,000 members. We are celebrating our 34th anniversary. Our aim is to strengthen commercial relations between institutions, to meet with decision-makers in line with the needs of our members and to carry out lobbying activities. We have events at home and abroad, at both micro and macro level. A month ago we held our IBF event in Saudi Arabia. On Thursday 18 April, yesterday, we held here an important construction and finance summit graced by our Deputy Minister of Trade and the President of the Turkish Contractors Association. MÜSİAD Expo, which we organize every two years, will take place in November. Our aim is to increase our trade potential. To sum up, MÜSİAD is a very large network and our aim is to build bridges between our members and to strengthen their commercial potential. But everything is not trade; our social solidarity activities are also intensive. We have a solidarity and mutual aid fund called Qard al-Hasan and we also have a centre called UTESAV that carries out academy and training work. ” he said.
Taking the floor at the meeting, French Construction Federation Delegation Head Jean Luc Eyler said;
“Thank you for your hospitality and for the meal. The entrepreneurial environment in Türkiye is not very similar to that in France. We come from the city of Alsace in France's Grand Est region, which is France's most dynamic economic region apart from Paris. Representatives of the most important companies in our region are part of this delegation. Colleagues who are experts in fields such as carpentry, façades, air conditioning, heating and cooling, shell construction, landscape engineering and renovation are in this delegation.” he said.
Following the welcoming speeches, both delegations introduced their own companies and products. The programme concluded with the wish of being able to increase business volume through specific meetings focused on professional cooperation in the coming period, and with a souvenir photograph.
