MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board Chairman Ömer Kandemir and the accompanying delegation paid a visit to Provincial Director of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change Mr. Malik Ejder Batur at his office.
During the visit that was held, information was shared about the vision, mission and fields of activity of the MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board and about the activities it has carried out to date. In addition, the projects carried out by the Sector Board in the field of social responsibility were evaluated and information was given particularly about the work carried out in Hakkâri.
At the meeting, the sponsorship and experience-sharing programmes carried out at high school and university level with the aim of contributing to the professional development of students were also addressed. Within this scope, assessments were made about the programmes organized to date and the work in which sector representatives and young people have been brought together.
The main agenda of the visit was formed by the basic problems the construction and building materials sector faces in the field. A mutual exchange of views was held on the variability in licence fees, the differences in practice between municipalities, the disruptions experienced in the building inspection system and the other headings of the sector awaiting solutions.
During the meeting, information was also given about the Construction and Building Materials Sector Assembly and Workshop to be held on 18 June, and Provincial Director Mr. Malik Ejder Batur was invited to the programme.
The MÜSİAD Construction and Building Materials Sector Board continues its work aimed at contributing to the sustainable development of the sector by strengthening the ground for consultation and cooperation with public institutions.
