The “Contribution to National Power: MSB Approved Supplier Day’25” event was organized by the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) with the aim of increasing the share of domestic production in the defence industry and strengthening the effectiveness of the private sector in the supply chain. The program, which took place at the MÜSİAD Head Office, was attended by Deputy Minister of National Defence of the Republic of Türkiye Musa Heybet, Deputy Director General of the Directorate General of Supply Services Brigadier General Volkan Aydın, İstanbul Supply Region President Supply Colonel Rüstem Yiğit Şengül, Department Head Hakan Yaslıkaya and Department Head Tolga Saklav.
 
The program began with the opening speeches of MÜSİAD Defence Industry Sector Board Chairman Halil Akgül, MSB Director General of Supply Services Mehmet Avcı and MÜSİAD Vice President Fahrettin Oylum. Subsequently, Deputy Minister of National Defence Musa Heybet emphasized the importance of public-private sector cooperation for the sustainability of the achievements Türkiye has obtained on the path to domestication in the defence industry.
 
At the event, comprehensive briefings were provided on the tender and supplier processes carried out by the Ministry of National Defence, the approved supplier system, AQAP certification activities and the processes of becoming an NSPA (NATO Support and Procurement Agency) supplier.
 
In the sessions that continued throughout the day, the procurement processes, quality standards and application criteria carried out by MSB's Directorates General of Military Factories, Shipyards and Supply Services were addressed in detail.
 
With the B2B table meetings held after the noon session, MÜSİAD member companies had the opportunity to meet directly with representatives of the Ministry of National Defence. In the meetings, attended by companies from many sectors such as the defence industry, textiles, food, machinery, metal, logistics and energy, potential collaborations and supply chain opportunities were assessed.
 
At the end of the program, a “Sponsorship Certificate” was presented to the participating companies contributing to the defence industry ecosystem.
