Cooperation Protocol Signed Between the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association and the Türkiye Maarif Foundation

A “Cooperation Protocol” was signed between MÜSİAD and the Türkiye Maarif Foundation with the aim of carrying out national and international projects as well as social and cultural activities, supporting educational and commercial work, and sharing experience and knowledge.

Under the agreement signed at MÜSİAD Head Office by MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan and Türkiye Maarif Foundation Chairman Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, it was announced that the parties had entered into a cooperation agreement covering such matters as supporting one another's activities as far as possible, jointly undertaking all kinds of scientific, academic, social and cultural work at home and abroad, and carrying out joint activities in order to develop national and international projects and friendships.

Speaking after the signing ceremony, President Abdurrahman Kaan said, "As MÜSİAD, we will work tirelessly and with faith to spread the ancient culture we inherited from our ancestors to the whole world."

We Have Full Confidence in Our Children Raised With the Spirit of This Country

Noting that only young people raised with the Anatolian spirit can lead the way to a better world, Kaan said, “We must work our young people like precious ore so that they shine. Because it is our young people who, as well-equipped and successful citizens, will make our country shine throughout the world. As MÜSİAD, we have emphasized the importance of education at every opportunity since the day we were founded. Today we have engineers, doctors and scientists who are recognized worldwide and have achieved important successes.  We know that the spirit of this country has the strength to raise many more. We take every step with this belief. We have great confidence in our Türkiye, in our young people and in our bright children,” he said.

We Are Always Ready to Help With Our Organizational Network in 93 Countries

Stating that, in order to ensure vocational specialization, they had opened the Bağlarbaşı MÜSİAD Marketing and Retail Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School and the MÜSİAD Furniture and Design Department at the Kartal Atalar Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School, Kaan said they would continue to organize activities for education.

Expressing his happiness at the agreement they had concluded with a distinguished institution such as the Maarif Foundation, which plays a major role in increasing Türkiye's prestige in the world and in spreading the Turkish language and culture abroad, Kaan emphasized that MÜSİAD, with its organizational network at 223 locations in 93 countries, is always ready to provide support.

Türkiye's Gateway to the World

Maarif Foundation Chairman Prof. Dr. Birol Akgün, for his part, said that the cooperation protocol signed between the Türkiye Maarif Foundation and MÜSİAD would contribute to the development of quality education, intellectual accumulation, and social, cultural and commercial activities.

Stating that the Foundation is Türkiye's gateway to the world in international education, Akgün said: “The Türkiye Maarif Foundation, which has representatives in 52 countries, has established official contact for educational activities in 95 countries. We continue our education and training activities in 267 schools in 34 countries, from kindergarten to university, with more than 28 thousand students. We hope that the cooperation protocol we have signed with MÜSİAD, whose roots run deep in the Akhi consciousness of Anatolia and which works for greater investment in education and human capacity, will make a positive contribution to the activities both institutions carry out worldwide, and in this respect we attach the utmost importance to it.”

The ceremony ended with the mutual presentation of plaques and a photo session.
