COOPERATION PROTOCOL SIGNED BETWEEN MÜSİAD, İBTAV AND KIRIKKALE UNIVERSITY

A cooperation protocol was signed between MÜSİAD, the Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Foundation for Research on the History of Islamic Science (İBTAV) and Kırıkkale University in order to promote at national and international level Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin, who played a major role in making the History of Islamic Science known throughout the world, and his works.

A cooperation protocol was signed between MÜSİAD, the Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Foundation for Research on the History of Islamic Science (İBTAV) and Kırıkkale University in order to promote at national and international level Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin, who played a major role in making the History of Islamic Science known throughout the world, and his works.

MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan, İBTAV Chairman Mecit Çetinkaya and Kırıkkale University Rector Prof. Dr.Ersan Aslan attended the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, held within the scope of the “2019 Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin Year” declared by the Presidential Circular published last year.

“Passing On the Legacy of Our Ancestors to Future Generations Is Among Our Greatest Responsibilities”

Speaking at the signing ceremony held in Gülhane Park, President Kaan stated that passing on to future generations the historical artefacts and cultural heritage inherited from our ancestors is one of our greatest responsibilities. Kaan, “ As MÜSİAD, we have always felt responsible towards our country, our nation and the world we live in. We take all our steps with the awareness of this responsibility. We are an organization operating with 87 points in Türkiye and 224 contact points in 94 countries abroad, reaching people in almost every corner of the world. This time we will use this strength to promote the works left to us by our esteemed scholar, who devoted great effort to the history of Islamic science and to our academic world. I hope that the protocol we will sign together with the Foundation for Research on the History of Islamic Science and Kırıkkale University will bring blessings for our country and for the world of science.” he said.

Within the scope of the cooperation protocol, promotional activities concerning the works of Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin and his contributions to the history of Islamic science are envisaged at MÜSİAD’s domestic and international branches, in its publications, at the education centres affiliated with the institution and at the Head Office.
