Within the scope of the Ankara programme carried out by the MÜSİAD Textile, Leather and Ready-Made Clothing Sector Board, the MÜSİAD Ankara Branch was visited first. During the visit, assessments were made regarding the current situation of the sector, its export potential and the projects being carried out.

In the continuation of the programme, a comprehensive consultation meeting was held under the hosting of the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade within the framework of the “International Textile Trade Centre Project” developed under the leadership of the MÜSİAD Textile, Leather and Ready-Made Clothing Sector Board. Officials from the General Directorate of Exports, the General Directorate of Customs, the Ministry of Industry and Technology, the Revenue Administration, the General Directorate of Free Zones and Türk Eximbank units took part in the meeting.

At the meeting held, the contributions the project will provide to the sector, its effects on increasing exports and its implementation processes were addressed. As a result of the assessments made, it was decided that the work within the scope of the International Textile Trade Centre Project should be continued in coordination with the relevant institutions.
