The MÜSİAD TÜİT programme was held at Informatics Valley, hosted by the MÜSİAD Gebze Branch. Making assessments at the event, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı emphasized that digitalization has gained even greater importance in a transforming world. President Asmalı said, "Climate change and digitalization have triggered sustainable industrial policies. By shaping our work accordingly, it is possible to take stronger and firmer steps in the world of tomorrow."

The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) Türkiye Consultation Meeting (TÜİT) programme was held at Informatics Valley in Gebze, Kocaeli, with the theme "Digital Transformation in Industry". MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı, Kocaeli Governor Seddar Yavuz, Kocaeli Metropolitan Mayor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tahir Büyükakın, Deputy Ministers of Industry and Technology Hasan Büyükdede and Dr. Çetin Ali Dönmez, MÜSİAD Gebze Branch President Serkan Beyaz and MÜSİAD members from all over Türkiye attended the event organized under the hosting of the MÜSİAD Gebze Branch.

Making assessments at the programme held under the coordination of the MÜSİAD Sector Boards and Business Development Commission, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı stated that digitalization is gaining increasing importance in a transforming world. Saying that issues such as climate change and digitalization have triggered sustainable industrial policies, President Asmalı emphasized that the business world's revision of its work within this scope will produce positive results in the coming period.

"Innovative ideas reach success with courage"

Stating that MÜSİAD has continued on its path with the ideal of a strong Türkiye since its foundation, the MÜSİAD President said that support for domestic and national projects would continue. Referring to the projects implemented in the field of technology over the last 20 years, President Asmalı underlined that innovative ideas reach success with courage.

President Asmalı continued his speech as follows:

"Those who dreamed in the past managed to turn their dreams into reality with their courage. At the same time, they showed how they would carry the steps they took with excitement to the skies once the opportunity was provided. Today, the world is talking about the success of Turkish UAVs. Today, Türkiye's automobile is the centre of attention at world fairs. Türkiye's ability to reach a far more competitive position is directly proportional to every production- and industry-oriented sector being able to develop products and business models in these fields. In a rapidly changing and developing world we must now work harder and update our domestic and national industry so that it adapts swiftly to innovations. With revisions in the field of education, it is possible for us to build this update on sustainable ground."

"We trust in Türkiye's potential"

Also referring to the steps to be taken within the scope of MÜSİAD's Year of Investment projection, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı stated that 25 thousand new jobs would be created with the TRY 25 billion investment to be realized in the first phase.

President Asmalı used the following expressions:

"At our MÜSİAD Visionary'21 Summit that we held in December, we announced our Climate Manifesto and conveyed the road map for green transformation in industry. In January we launched the Anatolian Production and Investment Movement. We said we believe in Türkiye's potential. Our declaration of the Year of Investment is also an indicator of this belief. In a period of only one and a half months, an investment of TRY 20 billion has been realized. Together with our MÜSİAD members, we are targeting an investment of TRY 25 billion in the first phase. When these investments are completed, they will create 25 thousand new jobs."

Panel sessions on Digital Transformation, the Green Deal, Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0 were held at the TÜİT Summit

Among the panel sessions held within the scope of the MÜSİAD TÜİT Summit, the "Digital Transformation and the Green Deal" panel session was held under the moderation of Albayrak Holding CTO Erdal Nalbant. At the session, MÜSİAD Energy and Environment Sector Board Chairman Altuğ Karataş, ASAŞ Alüminyum Energy Automation Manager Hasan Basri Taşkın and ROBO CEO Haluk Özcan shared their views.

At the "Industry 4.0 and Society 5.0" panel session held under the moderation of MÜSİAD Machinery Sector Board Chairman İsmail Somalı, MITSUBISHI Electric Factory Automation Systems Product Management and Marketing Unit Manager Tolga Can Bizel, Marmara University Mechanical Engineering Department Deputy Head Assoc. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Sina Kuseyri and MCS Otomasyon Chairman of the Board Adem Kayar made assessments.

At the "Session of Companies Implementing Industry 4.0" held under the moderation of MÜSİAD Machinery Sector Board Vice Chairman Uğur Koşar, AkPlas Board Member Abdullah Böyet, Kalkancı Pres Döküm Deputy General Manager Ali Davut and SMS Tork Deputy General Manager Ömer Kaya presented their work.

In the "Startalks" section held within the scope of the TÜİT programme, the "AugeLab Image Processing" and "Niocycle" platforms were examined.

The corporate reflections of digital transformation were evaluated at the Corporate Structure and Management in a Changing World Meeting

Within the framework of the MÜSİAD TÜİT Summit, the reflections of digital transformation on corporate structures and the new digitalizing management approach were also addressed. At the meeting organized with the participation of MÜSİAD branch personnel within the scope of in-service training, MÜSİAD Private Secretary Selçuk Şenel gave a presentation titled Corporate Structure and Management in a Changing World.

Stating that digitalism has been carried to an even more distinct dimension especially during the pandemic period, Şenel touched on the importance of human relations. In his speech Şenel said, "Managing the situation, events, the process and people correctly and strategically may not always be very easy," while noting that technology and the management approach must be built upon a corporate structure that renews itself and closely follows innovations.
