The delegation headed by MÜSİAD Textile, Leather and Ready-Made Clothing Sector Board Chairman Hayrettin Gümüşkaya carried out a series of visits in Gaziantep in order to examine the production capacity of the sector on site, to come together with members and to hold consultations.
Within the scope of the programme, the Gaziantep Organized Industrial Zone, one of Türkiye's important production centres, was visited first. The delegation, which carried out examinations at the production facilities in the zone, received information from officials about the current situation of the textile and ready-made clothing sector, production processes, export potential and sectoral developments.
In the continuation of the programme, the Governor of Gaziantep, Mr. Kemal Çeber, was visited in his office. At the meeting held, assessments were made on Gaziantep's industrial infrastructure, the contribution of the textile sector to the regional economy and work that will strengthen public-private sector cooperation.
The delegation then visited the workplaces of business people who are members of the MÜSİAD Gaziantep Branch and examined their production activities on site. While information was received about the work of the companies during the visits, consultations were held on the current needs of the sector, the problems encountered and the proposed solutions.
In the final part of the Gaziantep programme, the MÜSİAD Gaziantep Branch was visited. At the programme, which was also attended by MÜSİAD's 2nd Term President Ali Bayramoğlu, the delegation came together with branch members and made comprehensive assessments on the current situation of the textile, leather and ready-made clothing sector, global competition conditions, export targets and MÜSİAD's work for the sector.
