The delegation of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) and the International Business Forum (IBF) held a series of important contacts in the Syrian city of Aleppo.
During the visit, held under the leadership of MÜSİAD Founding President and IBF President Erol Yarar, MÜSİAD Vice President Davut Altunbaş, and MÜSİAD High Advisory Council (YİH) Member and IBF Vice President Gazi Mısırlı, comprehensive talks were held with Aleppo Governor Fevvaz Hilal, Aleppo Chamber of Commerce President Mustafa Akta and Aleppo Chamber of Industry President Mudar Al-Omar.
CONTACTS FOCUSED ON COOPERATION AND DEVELOPMENT
In its contacts in Aleppo, the delegation addressed strategic cooperation in the fields of trade, industry and humanitarian aid. In the talks, the projects planned to be implemented in the near future and the ongoing efforts for the reconstruction of the region were put on the table. It was particularly emphasized that the joint projects to be carried out in the field of industry would make a great contribution to the economic development of Aleppo.
The MÜSİAD delegation stated that humanitarian aid activities in Syria would continue and decided to strengthen cooperation with local administrations. In addition, consultations were held regarding the work to be carried out to increase Aleppo's trade and industry potential.
VISIT TO THE HISTORIC ALEPPO CITADEL
Following the official contacts, the delegation visited the Aleppo Citadel, one of the symbols of Syria's historical and cultural heritage. During the visit, information was received about the restoration process of the citadel and the efforts to preserve cultural heritage.
It was stated that this visit would make important contributions both to the strengthening of historical ties and to the development of commercial and cultural relations between the two countries.
Following the talks held within the scope of the Aleppo visit, the MÜSİAD and IBF delegation completed its contacts in the region and returned to Türkiye.
