The opening of the Tile-Ceramic Exhibition titled “Trace” by Kifayet Özkul, Lecturer at the Handicrafts Department of the Vocational School of Technical Sciences of İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa, was held at MÜSİAD with the participation of President Abdurrahman Kaan.
The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) continues its activities in the field of culture and art without slowing down. MÜSİAD, which started its activities in the field of Culture and Art with Emire Konuk Közberi's exhibition “Now and Eternity”, subsequently brought together with art lovers the exhibition “Reflections from Science to Art”, prepared in cooperation with Fatih Sultan Mehmet Vakıf University in memory of Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin, and the Mevlid-i Nebi Exhibition.
MÜSİAD, which continues its work in many fields, primarily calligraphy, miniature, painting and music, under the roof of MÜSİAD ART, most recently presented to those interested the Tile-Ceramic Exhibition titled “Trace” by Kifayet Özkul, Lecturer at the Handicrafts Department of the Vocational School of Technical Sciences of İstanbul University-Cerrahpaşa.
In the exhibition, which consists of the reflections of the religious and national elements belonging to the Turkish-Islamic heritage, works belonging to our own culture and civilization were brought together with art lovers. The exhibition, realized in partnership between MÜSİAD ART and MÜSİAD WOMEN, consists of 35 works. The exhibition will meet with art lovers until 20 January 2020.
The Income Obtained from the Exhibition Will Be Donated to the Daughters of Martyred Police Officers
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, the artist Kifayet Özkul stated that the exhibition had been made ready after a long and difficult process. Noting that she is at the same time a police officer's daughter, Özkul pointed out that living together with police officers from an early age had given her an intense love of state and nation. Expressing that she sees art as a way of conveying spiritual values, Özkul emphasized that she has produced her works with this understanding and spirit. Noting that half of the income to be obtained from the sale of the exhibition will be given to the daughters of the families of martyred police officers, Özkul pointed out that caring for the families of the police officers who gave their lives for the homeland and the nation is a debt owed by all of us as a society.
National and Spiritual Feelings Need to Be Passed On to Future Generations
Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, MÜSİAD WOMEN President Müge Öz, for her part, expressed her satisfaction at taking part, as MÜSİAD, in such an event organized for the daughters of martyred police officers. Stating that, as MÜSİAD, they attach great importance to keeping national and spiritual values alive and passing them on to future generations, Öz noted that they will continue to contribute to culture and art activities in the coming periods.
MÜSİAD President Abdurrahman Kaan, who opened the exhibition, for his part stated that, as MÜSİAD, they will continue to support artists like Kifayet Özkul who keep our national and spiritual values alive. Offering his thanks to Kifayet Özkul for exhibiting her works at MÜSİAD, Kaan expressed his wishes for the continuation of Özkul's successes.
