An International Business Trip to Poland was organized by MÜSİAD Logistics Sector Board Chairman Mehmet Metin Korkmaz and his accompanying delegation. During the programme, the MÜSİAD Poland Branch, the Poland Wholesale Trade Center (Wolka Kosowska), the Polish Road Hauliers Association (ZPMD), Polish State Railways (PKP) and the Association of Turkish Business People in Poland (POTİAD) were visited.
In the first stage of the programme, the Poland Wholesale Trade Center, located about 30 KM from Warsaw, established in 2003 and hosting more than 3,000 producers and wholesalers, was visited. At the meeting held there, consultations were held on the market's past, its current situation and the foreseen future scenarios.
Following the Poland Trade Center, a visit was organized to the MÜSİAD Poland Branch and a meeting was held with MÜSİAD Poland members. Consultations were held on MÜSİAD's situation in Poland and on its members. Afterwards, a gift was presented by Logistics Sector Board Chairman Mehmet Metin Korkmaz.
The programme continued with a meeting with the Polish Road Hauliers Association (ZPMD). MÜSİAD was introduced at the meeting, which was significant because ZPMD, founded in 1957, guides road hauliers in all EU countries and is Poland's largest NGO, dominating the sector. Afterwards, consultations were held with ZPMD General Director Wieslaw Staroska on sectoral problems and proposed solutions. A gift was then presented by Mehmet Metin Korkmaz.
The programme continued with the MÜSİAD Poland members and the delegation led by Mehmet Metin Korkmaz taking a city tour in Warsaw after dinner.
The following day, a visit was organized to Polish State Railways (PKP) in the town of Malaszewicze, located 190 KM from Warsaw. During the visit, information on the current situation of the sector was shared in a meeting with Polish State Railways Cargo and Terminals General Director Maciej Krochmalski.
The programme continued with a visit to the Association of Turkish Business People in Poland (POTİAD). Consultations were held on possible cooperation work with POTİAD, an association founded in 1997 with approximately 180 active members. Subjects such as the economic situation of Türkiye and Poland, the effects of the Russia – Ukraine War on the sector, business opportunities in Poland and the visa problem were discussed. A gift was then presented by Mehmet Metin Korkmaz.
