The ''Anatolian Economic Diplomacy'' programme was held at the MÜSİAD Trabzon Branch by the Diplomatic Relations Commission of the Independent Industry and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD).

Indonesia's Ambassador to Ankara, Achmad Rizal Purnama, who attended the Anatolian Economic Diplomacy programme organized at the MÜSİAD Trabzon Branch: Drawing attention to Indonesia's relations with Malaysia, Australia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye, he made the following assessment: "These 5 countries are among our important strategic partners. We attach great importance to these partners of ours. The Presidents of the two countries are in regular dialogue. The two Muslim countries, Indonesia and Türkiye, are strong countries with large populations."

Sectors for joint work

Explaining that he plans to implement projects aimed at increasing the trade volume between the two countries throughout his term of office, Purnama noted that they wish to carry out joint work particularly in the defence industry, energy, construction, pharmaceutical and health sectors.

İskenderoğlu: I hope it will pave the way for new trade agreements

MÜSİAD Trabzon Branch President Mesut İskenderoğlu said that they were pleased to host Indonesia's Ambassador to Ankara Achmad Rizal Purnama and his accompanying delegation in Trabzon. Also giving the participants information about MÜSİAD's activities and the economic life of the city, İskenderoğlu stated that, thanks to its ancient past, Trabzon is one of the cities that has a say in the commercial field in the region and in the country.

Emphasizing the importance of fishery product and hazelnut exports, İskenderoğlu said the following:

''With their commercial experience and commercial horizons, the business people of Trabzon are filled with the excitement and hope of trade being carried out with Indonesian business people. In this sense, I hope that your visit will pave the way for new beginnings and new trade agreements'' he said.

At the programme organized under the hosting of MÜSİAD Trabzon, MÜSİAD Diplomatic Relations Commission Chairman Osman Nuri Önügören also described MÜSİAD's work.
