MÜSİAD Sector Boards Commission Vice Chairman Fatih Altunbaş, MÜSİAD Defence Industry Sector Board Chairman Halil Akgül and the accompanying members of the Defence Industry Sector Board carried out strategic visits in Konya.
Within the scope of the programme, a corporate visit was first made to the ASELSAN Konya Factory. Meeting with the facility officials during the visit, the delegation held consultations on localization in the defence industry, the development of production capacity and the cooperation opportunities that could be developed among sector stakeholders.
As part of the Konya programme, the delegation also paid visits to companies that are members of the MÜSİAD Seydibey Branch. In this framework, member visits were made to the companies SSG Aluminium, Derya Arms, Bey Plastics, Özgüven Defence, Parantez Defence and Huğlu; information was obtained about the companies' activities and sectoral developments were evaluated.
At the end of the programme, the delegation attended the iftar programme organized under the hosting of the MÜSİAD Seydibey Branch. At the iftar programme, they came together with MÜSİAD members, exchanged views and made assessments regarding the development of cooperation.
