The MÜSİAD delegation headed by MÜSİAD Vice President Davut Altunbaş paid a series of visits in Ankara. In the contacts held with Deputy Minister of Trade Rıza Tuna Turagalp, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yavuz Selim Kıran, President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Abdullah Eren, Director General for Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nur Sağman and Head of the Department of E-Exports, Digital Marketing, Behavioural Public Policies and Next Generation Technologies of the Ministry of Trade Hasan Önal, developments in the field of trade, national and international projects and regional activities were addressed.

MÜSİAD Vice President Davut Altunbaş, Chairman of the MÜSİAD International Organization Commission Hıfsı Soydemir, Chairman of the Export Development Commission Abdulkadir Sıcakyüz and Deputy Chairman for International Organization Selim Sar paid a series of visits to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Trade and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yavuz Selim Kıran and Deputy Minister of Trade Rıza Tuna Turagalp, the MÜSİAD delegation shared information on MÜSİAD’s work in the field of micro exports and e-exports.

While areas of cooperation, the logistics centre project and domestic and international investments came to the fore in the meetings held, consultations were held on the MÜSİAD Arbitration Centre, the MÜSİAD Trade Office and the Anatolian Trade Diplomacy project, which are part of MÜSİAD’s vision for the new period.

In the visits, in which assessments regarding the Antalya Diplomacy Forum held under the coordination of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs were also addressed, an exchange of views took place on the Turkish-Arab Business Summit Regional Meeting to be held in Gaziantep in March, MÜSİAD EXPO 2022 to be held in İstanbul in November 2022 and the 26th International Business Forum - IBF.

The MÜSİAD delegation also held talks with Head of the Department of E-Exports, Digital Marketing, Behavioural Public Policies and Next Generation Technologies of the Ministry of Trade Hasan Önal on the publication work on e-commerce prepared by the MÜSİAD Export Development Commission.

MÜSİAD’s Africa activities are expanding

Meeting with Director General for Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nur Sağman within the scope of the Ankara programme, MÜSİAD Vice President Davut Altunbaş and the accompanying delegation held consultations on MÜSİAD’s Africa activities.

Emphasizing in the meeting that MÜSİAD’s Africa activities will expand even further in the new period, Altunbaş recalled that African ambassadors in Ankara were brought together with business people in Anatolia through the Anatolian Trade Diplomacy project.

During the visit, information was also shared on MÜSİAD’s Côte d’Ivoire and Libya programmes.

"International students represent a great opportunity for exports"

Meeting also with President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Abdullah Eren within the scope of its Ankara contacts, the MÜSİAD delegation shared information on MÜSİAD’s work concerning the Turkish diaspora.

In the meeting, which also touched upon the importance of international students for the business world, it was recalled that more than 15,000 international students from 180 countries are granted scholarships by the YTB. In the meeting, in which it was conveyed that this work creates great opportunities in the field of exports, it was emphasized that the Turkish business world and international students should be in greater contact.
