The delegation headed by Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) Vice Presidents Osman Çalışkan, Abdurrahman Uzun and Burhan Özdemir visited TÜBİTAK's Gebze Campus and met with TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal.

 

Consultations were held on joint areas of work at the meeting, which covered possible cooperation between MÜSİAD and TÜBİTAK and took place at the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Centre (MAM) Campus hosted by TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal.

The MÜSİAD delegation headed by MÜSİAD Vice President Osman Çalışkan, MÜSİAD Vice President Abdurrahman Uzun and MÜSİAD Vice President Burhan Özdemir held consultations on the increasing role of the private sector in R&D and innovation activities that will shape our country's industry and on proposals that could be made for a strong industry.

At the meeting, comprehensive discussions were held on the work of MÜSİAD and TÜBİTAK regarding sustainable industry, artificial intelligence and green and digital transformation. The support TÜBİTAK provides to the R&D and Innovation ecosystem and the current status of the High Technology Platforms and the Industrial Innovation Networks (SAYEM) Platforms were discussed.

At the meeting, emphasis was placed on the potential that the issues of green and digital transformation will have in carrying the success of our country's industry to much greater heights in the future.

TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal underlined the importance he attaches to supporting green and digital transformation by spreading the approach of developing together and succeeding together, with a focus on R&D and Innovation, through the more than 13 thousand MÜSİAD member organizations.

MÜSİAD Vice Chairman of the Sector Boards and Fair Forum Commission Altuğ Karataş and Chairman of the MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board Taha Çiftci also took part in the meeting.
