MÜSİAD, one of the world's leading businessmen's organizations, continues to open up to international markets. A business trip to Morocco was organized by the MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board, which is made up of representatives of companies operating in the field of information technologies, in order to take part in GITEX Africa and to hold various business development meetings.

The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), which is organized at a total of 165 points, 81 at home and 84 abroad, continues its efforts so that the Turkish business world can take a larger share of international markets. The MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board, made up of members operating in the field of information technologies, organized a business trip to Morocco in order to take part in the event of GITEX — regarded as one of the world's largest technology fairs — held in Africa for the first time this year. The delegation, which first held contacts in Casablanca, then moved on to Marrakech.

They Told Türkiye's Story

Visiting one by one the stands of some 500 startups and technology companies from almost every region of the world, the Sector Board members introduced their own companies and also provided information about economic developments and sectoral opportunities in our country. Coming together at the event venue with the Ambassador to Bamako, Mali, Efe Ceylan, and the Commercial Counsellor in Casablanca of the Rabat Embassy, Burcu Özergül Çolak, the delegation held consultations on investment and partnership opportunities in Africa.

Marrakech Chamber of Industry and Commerce Visited

After the interactions at the fair, the delegation, which came together with the executives of Imperium Holding, which hosts Morocco's largest companies, made the Marrakech Chamber of Industry and Commerce its next stop. Inviting Moroccan business people to Türkiye, Sector Board Chairman Taha Çiftci provided information about investment and partnership opportunities in our country. Expressing his pleasure at the visit, the Deputy Chairman of the Marrakech Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Abdelmoula Ballouty, stated that they could remain in contact and provide commercial guidance so that Turkish businessmen invest in Morocco.

Greater Weight to Be Given to International Markets

MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board Chairman Taha Çiftci said in his statement on the fair: "The GITEX Technology and Startup Event brought us together with the dynamic business world of Morocco. While digital transformation has become an indispensable part of today's business life, Morocco's development in the technology sector is also highly promising. This fair enabled Turkish and Moroccan business people to come together and work on mutual collaborations and projects. As MÜSİAD, we will continue to represent the Turkish business world at such events."
