The DMO Supplier Day Event, organized at the MÜSİAD Head Office under the leadership of the Health Sector Board and with the contributions of five different sector boards, was held with broad participation. The program, which drew intense interest from companies in different sectors, aimed to develop cooperation between the public and private sectors and to increase awareness of supply processes.

The program began with the opening speech of Health Sector Board Chairman Dr. İhsan Şahin. In his speech, Şahin drew attention to the importance of strengthening domestic production, of domestic companies taking a more effective role in public procurement, and of increasing cooperation between sectors.

Then State Supply Office (DMO) Chairman of the Board and General Manager Mr. Şinasi Candan took the floor and made comprehensive assessments regarding DMO’s supply processes, digitalization work and the opportunities it offers to domestic companies.

In the briefing presentation held within the scope of the event, DMO’s procurement processes were addressed in detail. Comprehensive information was conveyed to the participating companies on the functioning of public procurement mechanisms, the criteria for being included in the supplier pool, the points to be considered in tender processes, and how sustainable cooperation with DMO can be developed. In addition, the institution’s approach supporting domestic and national production was emphasized, and the roles companies can assume in this process were underlined.

The B2B meetings, one of the most striking parts of the program, were the scene of an intense environment of interaction. At six separate meeting tables set up in the event area, a total of 58 company representatives had the opportunity to make one-to-one contact with DMO officials.

Thanks to the 114 business meetings held, companies had the opportunity both to convey their fields of activity directly and to take concrete steps towards possible cooperation.

The DMO Supplier Day stood out not only for its informative aspect but also for its structure, which strengthened communication between companies and laid the ground for the establishment of new business connections. Thanks to the up-to-date information they gained on the processes of doing business with the public sector, participants had the opportunity to give direction to their strategic planning.

In the evaluations made at the end of the event, all participating members were thanked and it was stated that the aim is to continue such programs with increased cooperation between sectors.
