The MÜSİAD Energy and Environment Sector Board came together, hosted by the MÜSİAD Bursa Branch, in order to hold sectoral consultations and assessments.
The programme began with the Sector Board meeting; it then continued with a dinner and a presentation titled “The 2050 Energy Outlook of the World and Türkiye” delivered by Sector Board Chairman Bülent Şen.
The opening speeches were delivered by Deputy Chairwoman of the Sector Board and at the same time Chairwoman of the Energy and Environment Sector Board of the MÜSİAD Bursa Branch, Mihrimah Kocabıyık. As the host of the programme, MÜSİAD Bursa Branch President Alparslan Şenocak also addressed the participants.
In his presentation, Sector Board Chairman Bülent Şen shared his assessments on the production-consumption balance, supply security and transformation processes of natural gas, electricity, oil and renewable energy resources both in Türkiye and on a global scale. He also touched upon the effects of the global fluctuations in energy markets on countries' energy independence targets and conveyed Türkiye's strategies aimed at increasing domestic production capacity and strengthening resource diversity.
The meeting that was held concluded as a productive consultation environment in which developments in the energy sector were assessed and the planning for the work of the coming period was addressed.
