The Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) will this year hold the 20th edition of the MÜSİAD EXPO General Trade Fair, which it has organized every two years since the association was founded. The press launch meeting of MÜSİAD EXPO 2024, which will take place on 26-29 November, was held at the MÜSİAD Head Office in İstanbul.
At the press launch meeting, attended by MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı, Tüyap Fuarlar Yapım A.Ş. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü, MÜSİAD Vice President Burhan Özdemir, Chairman of the MÜSİAD Fair and Forum Commissions Erkan Gül and MÜSİAD Secretary General Mehmet Akif Altan, the targets, theme and strategies of MÜSİAD EXPO 2024 were assessed.
MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı stated that MÜSİAD EXPO has broken its own record in every edition and continues to develop. Noting that they expect a participation rate above that of the fair held in 2022, Asmalı said: “Our fair, which follows technological innovations and trends in the world very closely, which is virtually the herald of the changes in global markets and which enjoys enormous interest on a global scale, sets out this year with the motto “Global Trade is Here”.”
Target: USD 1 Billion of Commercial Cooperation
In his speech, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı stated that a wide variety of organizations, panels and bilateral business meetings would be held at the fair, which will host more than 300 companies and participants from 24 different sectors. Stating that Iran, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Venezuela, Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, Malaysia, Albania, India, Belarus, China, the TRNC, the USA and Uzbekistan will be the countries taking part with national participation, Asmalı continued his words as follows:
“This year we will use the entire 18 thousand square metre fair area. The guests at the fair will hold B2B meetings with more than 500 foreign purchasing delegations that will come from 88 countries. In addition, important guests from Türkiye and abroad will take part in the fair. God willing, our fair will host the participation of many of our ministers, above all our esteemed President. Besides this, we also expect diplomats, ambassadors, consuls general and ministers from abroad to visit our fair. One of the important matters for us here is the cooperation and commercial volume that will be established through B2B events. God willing, as a result of the purchasing delegations and B2B meetings that will come this year, we expect a commercial volume of USD 1 billion to be generated.”
Tüyap Fuarlar Yapım A.Ş. General Manager İlhan Ersözlü, for his part, spoke about the details and figures of the fair. In his speech Ersözlü made the following statements:
“As of 2024 the fair has earned the right to bear the designation of international. Thus we now name the fair the International MÜSİAD EXPO Fair. At present 188 companies with 268 brands are taking part in the fair. We expect this number to rise above 300. At the same time we have 25 international participants from 10 countries, with 14 foreign companies and 11 representative offices. We already have registrations of more than 3,000 international visitors from 87 countries. We expect this figure too to exceed 8,000, as it did in 2022.”
The International MÜSİAD EXPO 2024 General Trade Fair is supported by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and KOSGEB.

IBF at MÜSİAD EXPO 2024 with the Theme of Migration!
The International Business Forum (IBF), which continues its activities under the umbrella of MÜSİAD and has NGO members from 32 countries operating around the World, will take part within MÜSİAD EXPO as it did in previous editions. The 28th IBF, which will be held this year with the theme of migration, will address the forms, the nature and the proper management of migration under the title Migration in its Humanitarian and Economic Dimensions.
