The Türkiye-Saudi Arabia Business Forum brought the Turkish and Saudi Arabian business worlds together with two main events held in Riyadh and Jeddah and the high-level contacts carried out.

A business forum was held under the coordination of the Export Development Commission of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, and in Jeddah, one of the most important commercial centres of the region. 

The delegation, which included International Business Forum (IBF) President Erol Yarar, MÜSİAD Vice President Abdurrahman Uzun and MÜSİAD Export Development Commission Chairman Ahmet Cihaner as well as a large number of Turkish business people who are MÜSİAD members, came together with Saudi business people at the forum and mini fairs held.

The first meeting of the Türkiye-Saudi Arabia Business Forum, organized in cooperation with MÜSİAD and the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce, was held in Riyadh, while the second meeting, organized in cooperation with MÜSİAD and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, was held in Jeddah.

The Forum was attended by Türkiye's Ambassador to Riyadh Fatih Ulusoy, Consul General in Jeddah Mete Zaimoğlu, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Türkiye to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Ambassador Mehmet Metin Eker, leading representatives of the Turkish and Saudi Arabian business worlds and a large number of distinguished business people.

First Stop Riyadh 

The Saudi Arabia-Türkiye Business Forum was held in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce. Various visits and B2B meetings were held at the forum organized.

The Business Forum held at the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce encompassed many B2B bilateral business meetings and official visits. 

The bilateral business meetings held between nearly 50 MÜSİAD member companies and the companies affiliated with the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce are aimed at giving momentum to the Development Plan included in Saudi Arabia's 2030 vision. 

At the Business Forum, which offered the opportunity to develop commercial activities in 24 different sectors, the opening speeches were delivered by Türkiye's Ambassador to Riyadh Fatih Ulusoy.

In his speech, the Ambassador emphasized that he believes the commercial relations and cooperation opportunities of the two brotherly countries with deep historical and human ties, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia, will increase through such meetings and interactions. 

In the opening speeches of the Business Forum, MÜSİAD Founding President and IBF President Erol Yarar, Riyadh Chamber of Commerce Vice Chairman Naif Abdullah Al Rajhi and MÜSİAD Vice President Abdurrahman Uzun also delivered their addresses. 

"We Support Saudi Arabia's 2030 Vision Program"

Speaking at the event, IBF President Erol Yarar emphasized the 2030 vision announced by Saudi Arabia and said, "We wholeheartedly support the development move and the 2030 vision that Saudi Arabia has put forward not merely with a focus on oil but with industry and technology initiatives. We believe that as Türkiye and MÜSİAD we can make a very great contribution to this development move and vision."

Yarar continued his remarks as follows:

"We must acknowledge that Saudi Arabia, which has a very special place in our hearts, now also has an important place in our economic perspective. Today we are experiencing here the happiness of being instrumental in this. We are taking a step that will be able to bring MÜSİAD's 13,000 members as well as IBF's thousands of members together with Saudi business people in Riyadh. With the relations we have established here today, we want to open up not merely to a commercial partnership but to investment and production-oriented developments, and to open a MÜSİAD Representative Office in Saudi Arabia as well. In this way we can visit Saudi Arabia again with a large group of investors and carry the economic partnership between the two countries to the highest level."

After the opening speeches, the Forum was completed with bilateral business meetings (B2B) and the meeting of the MÜSİAD delegation with the Board of Directors of the Riyadh Chamber of Commerce.

A Gala Dinner was also held within the scope of the Saudi Arabia-Türkiye Business Forum. Prominent Saudi Arabian business people also took part in the Gala Dinner, which was also attended by Türkiye's Ambassador to Riyadh Fatih Ulusoy, and bilateral business meetings continued there as well. Views were exchanged with a view to developing and enriching trade between the two countries. 

In addition to the Business Forum, the MÜSİAD delegation in Saudi Arabia also paid an official visit to Türkiye's Embassy in Riyadh. 

MÜSİAD members, comprising nearly 50 companies operating in 24 different sectors, set off for Jeddah in order to continue their contacts within the scope of the Saudi Arabia-Türkiye Business Forum and Business Trip Program.

The Most Crowded Business Meetings Summit of Recent Times

Having completed its program in Riyadh, the MÜSİAD delegation set off for Jeddah in order to carry out the Jeddah leg of the Türkiye-Saudi Arabia Business Forum and held the Saudi Arabia Business Meetings Summit there as well. 

Within the scope of the summit, the first meeting was held with Türkiye's Consul General in Jeddah Mete Zaimoğlu.

As MÜSİAD and IBF, the Saudi Arabia perspective in the future vision, investments and cooperation opportunities were discussed. It was stated that commercial attachés also attended the meeting with the Consul General.

The business meetings summit held hosted by the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, for its part, witnessed the most crowded bilateral meetings of recent times. 

At the B2B meetings, in which Consul General Zaimoğlu and Permanent Representative to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation Ambassador Mehmet Metin Eker also accompanied the MÜSİAD delegation, the Vice Chairman and Board of Directors Members of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce welcomed the MÜSİAD delegation. 

In the meetings held, increasing close cooperation in the future was discussed. 

Consultations were held on the joint investment moves and areas of MÜSİAD and the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, and coming together more frequently was emphasized.

The Vice Chairman and Board of Directors Members of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce, MÜSİAD Founding President and IBF President Erol Yarar, MÜSİAD Vice President Abdurrahman Uzun and IBF Vice President Gazi Mısırlı toured the stands of the participating companies and received information about the products.
