“We are working to strengthen Türkiye's economy”

In the statement he made at the meeting, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı emphasized that, with all the sector boards in operation, they carry out work aimed at strengthening the Turkish economy. Asmalı continued his speech as follows:

“As we all know, MÜSİAD, which has worked and produced without pause for 35 years, has always undertaken productive and pioneering work. The MÜSİAD Family has an outlook that works more, produces more value and provides added value for our country every day than it did the day before.

Therefore, as I begin my remarks, I would like to emphasize once again the sentence I have voiced on various occasions: MÜSİAD is the most productive and most hard-working business world organization in our country. The reports it produces and the policies it puts forward with this effort are the most concrete example of the productivity demonstrated.”

Also providing information about the reports on 17 different sectors, Asmalı said: “A total of 17 sector reports, each of them the product of intensive labour, are being published. Today we have the joy of sharing our reports with the public. Our reports, which address and analyse the year we have left behind with data, also set out various forecasts for the coming year or periods.”

MÜSİAD Vice President Burhan Özdemir, for his part, said in his statement: “In today's world, economies grow and develop thanks to actors that not only follow global trends but also shape those trends. As MÜSİAD, our aim is to carry Türkiye's strong industrial and commercial infrastructure further forward, to contribute to the sustainable growth of our sectors and to offer guiding analyses for decision-makers.”

Özdemir continued his speech as follows:

“In the reports, the current situation of each sector and the opportunities and risks it faces are addressed in detail, and concrete solution proposals for the future are presented. With our strong belief in the Turkish economy, we are continuing our efforts to reach a more competitive, more innovative and stronger position in all critical areas, from production to exports and from technology to financing.

We have full confidence that these reports will be instrumental in Türkiye attaining a stronger, more competitive and more innovative position in the global arena. On this journey extending from local production to international exports, the contribution of each sector will bring great momentum to our country's general welfare and global success.”

The program continued with questions from members of the press. MÜSİAD also announced that its reports on 17 sectors and the summary brochure have become accessible at musiad.org.tr.
