The MÜSİAD EXPO Multi-Sector Trade Fair, organized every two years by the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), will open its doors this year on 2-5 November at the TÜYAP İstanbul Fair and Congress Centre. While more than 100,000 visitors and participants from 124 countries are foreseen to be hosted at the event, which will be held for the 19th time, the qualified purchasing delegations coming to the fair will come together with entrepreneurs, investors and industrialist business people.

Qualified purchasing delegations will meet business people at MÜSİAD EXPO

Stating that MÜSİAD EXPO 2020, held after the pandemic, produced a satisfaction rate reaching 97 percent despite the effects of the outbreak, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı said that MÜSİAD EXPO 2022, having shaken off the global effects, would give direction to global trade.

President Asmalı continued his assessment with the following words:

"The fair we held in 2020 produced a satisfaction rate reaching 97 percent. At MÜSİAD EXPO, the only fair held in the past period with a safe-service approach, having shaken off the effects of the pandemic, we hosted visitors from 102 countries in an area of 14,000 square metres. At the fair we have been organizing since 1993, this year we will host more than 100,000 visitors and participants from 124 countries in an area of 25,000 square metres. There is very serious participation from Europe, from Asia, from Africa and from the MENA region. Qualified purchasing delegations from many countries, above all countries such as Azerbaijan, Russia, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Indonesia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iran and Algeria, will take their place at MÜSİAD EXPO, the centre of global trade. At MÜSİAD EXPO we conducted comprehensive and in-depth research and invited company- and product-based purchasing delegations to our country. We foresee that the B2B meetings that will bring together participants and visitors from 24 different sectors will produce positive results. We are excited about this great gathering that will give direction to global and regional trade."

MÜSİAD EXPO will directly contribute to Türkiye's 2023 vision

Referring also to the work carried out in the field of commercial diplomacy, President Asmalı pointed out that a D8 Ambassadors gathering would be held within the scope of the fair. President Asmalı also stated that MÜSİAD EXPO would make a direct contribution to Türkiye's 2023 targets.

The MÜSİAD President continued his statement as follows:

"MÜSİAD EXPO 2022 is at the same time the heart of commercial diplomacy. Through the International Business Forum and various events to be organized within the framework of MÜSİAD EXPO, Türkiye's most comprehensive multi-sector trade fair, we will bring together diplomatic missions from all four corners of the world, our representatives abroad, and the ambassadors, consuls and honorary consuls in our country with our business people. This year an event will also be held at MÜSİAD EXPO with the participation of the D8 Ambassadors. MÜSİAD EXPO offers a great opportunity in line with our country's goal of reaching an export target of USD 300 billion in 2023. At the fairs held in the past, billions of dollars' worth of trade contributed to the economy. At this fair, too, we aim to make a direct contribution to our country's 2023 vision through the maximum level of commercial connections."
