As the MÜSİAD Machinery Sector Board, the summit held in Kars on Friday, 31 October 2025 was successfully carried out.
MÜSİAD members and representatives of the Kars business world attended the programme. The summit began with the MÜSİAD promotional film, and afterwards Kars's economic potential and its regional development vision were addressed. In addition, the city's strategic position within the framework of the Zangezur Corridor and Silk Road Projects was emphasized.
The opening speeches were delivered by MÜSİAD Machinery Sector Board Chairman İsmail Somalı, MÜSİAD Kars Provincial Representative İsmail Gürsoy, Kars Chamber of Industry and Commerce President Kadir Bozan, Kars Mayor Prof. Dr. Ötüken Senger and Kars Governor Ziya Polat.
The keynote speech of the summit was delivered by the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications of the 65th Government, Ahmet Arslan, who addressed the subject of “The Kars Projection in the Light of the Zangezur Corridor - Silk Road Projects”.
In the panel held afterwards, BeTa Science Association Chairman of the Board of Directors Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sabri Öz acted as moderator. TKDK Kars Coordinator Meryem Yıldırım, Kafkas University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Deniz Öyakışır and Fenix Door Chairman of the Board of Directors İmdat Çağın took part as panellists. In the panel, the subject of export-oriented value-added industrial production was discussed comprehensively.
Following the panel, the summit ended with the presentation of gifts and a group souvenir photograph.
