The Head Office Metal and Mining Sector Board of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD) came together in a comprehensive programme organized in Eskişehir with the aim of strengthening regional collaborations and holding consultations that will shape the future of the sector. The gathering, which took place with the participation of sector representatives from different provinces of Türkiye, drew attention with its intensive visit and meeting programme.
In addition to MÜSİAD Head Office Metal and Mining Sector Board Chairman Muhittin Can, the Head Office Sector Board Vice Chairmen and board members, MÜSİAD Eskişehir Branch President Oğuz Özdemir, Seyit Ahmet Yeni, Member of the Board of Directors of the MÜSİAD Head Office Metal and Mining Sector Board and at the same time Member of the Board of Directors of MÜSİAD Eskişehir, branch board members, sector board members and the sector board chairmen and members who came from Konya, Afyonkarahisar, Kocaeli, Bursa, Düzce and Tekirdağ attended the programme.
Within the scope of the programme, the participants first visited the Kırka Boron Plant operating in the district of Seyitgazi. In the presentation delivered by Deputy Plant Manager Ömer Faruk Özdemir, comprehensive information was shared on the activities carried out in the fields of mining, chemicals, energy and logistics. During the visit, assessments were made regarding the current situation of the sector, its projections for the future and its production capacity, and mutual consultations were held.
Within the scope of the programme continuing at AKMİRA, visits were also paid to the companies KYK Yapı Kimyasalları A.Ş., whose Chairmanship of the Board of Directors is held by Onur Sürmeli, one of the esteemed members of MÜSİAD Eskişehir, and Arvo Endüstriyel İmalat A.Ş., whose Chairmanship of the Board of Directors is held by Mesut Demirhan, Member of the Board of Directors of MÜSİAD Eskişehir. During the company visits, detailed information was received on production processes, fields of activity and future targets, while assessments were made on sectoral developments, the strengthening of commercial relations and new cooperation opportunities.
At the Region 1 Meeting held after the visits, current developments regarding the metal and mining sector were addressed comprehensively. At the meeting, important assessments were made on increasing cooperation among sector representatives, creating new areas of trade and strengthening the economic interaction among members. Within the scope of the programme, an informative presentation was also delivered to the participants by Rare Earth Elements Plant Manager Fazlı Cabbar Metin.
