MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı, IBF Chairman Erol Yarar and MÜSİAD Board of Directors Members came together with Global Bridges Chairwoman of the Board Dr. Beate Lindemann and her accompanying delegation at the MÜSİAD Head Office.
While Türkiye-Europe commercial relations, areas of cooperation and business development, IBF activities and many other topics were discussed at the meeting, information was given about MÜSİAD's activities and work. At the meeting, MÜSİAD Diplomatic Relations Commission Chairman Osman Nuri Önügören introduced MÜSİAD and its activities with a presentation entitled “About MÜSİAD’’. In addition, MÜSİAD Secretary General Dr. Cihad Terzioğlu delivered a presentation introducing his company named “360° Enerji’’, which offers consultancy and project development services in the fields of the electricity market, energy efficiency, renewable energy systems and digitalization solutions, and his application named “Observer’’. MÜSİAD Digital Transformation Sector Board member Fahrettin Oylum, for his part, made a presentation on Start-Up investment introducing his own Start-Up company.
In addition, at the meeting MÜSİAD Founding President Erol Yarar answered the questions of the German delegation. Yarar, who explained MÜSİAD's founding story, its structural and social differences from the chambers of commerce, the criteria required to become a MÜSİAD member, the budget and financial affairs and how MÜSİAD is financed, gave examples of MÜSİAD's work based on the principle of voluntarism together with its independent principles and tenets.
Yarar, who explained how MÜSİAD guides its members in investing and setting up business in the global business world and in Türkiye and how they support their members in the problems they may encounter by making agreements with the government and arbitration centres, also spoke about the ESG criteria, the Green Deal and the importance we attach to Climate Change and how we guide our members on this issue. After the meeting and lunch at the Head Office, the German delegation visited a factory belonging to a MÜSİAD member in Hadımköy, İstanbul.
The delegation, which appreciated the activities MÜSİAD carries out and the financial strength it possesses, stated at the meeting that they would be pleased to carry out work with MÜSİAD as a partner and business associate.
