The "Türkiye Economy Model, New Steps and Inflation Measures Presentation Meeting" was held at the İstanbul Congress Center. Speaking at the meeting, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended by teleconference, Minister of Treasury and Finance Dr. Nureddin Nebati shared the details of the new economic support package.

Making assessments after the program that was held, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı said, "With the implementation of a strict monitoring mechanism regarding the Credit Guarantee Fund package, the correct use of the supports provided will be confirmed. This support package, which will be a lifeline for our investors, will expand the opportunities of our industrialists".

President Asmalı made the following statements:

"As the business world, we welcome with satisfaction the new supports and steps announced at the Türkiye Economy Model, New Steps and Inflation Measures Presentation Meeting under the leadership of our President Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and we believe that the decisions taken will bring dynamism to our economy.

We had frequently voiced our concerns about high inflation in the meetings we held. With the decisions taken today, we anticipate that the VAT reduction on basic food products will be reflected in prices at a rate of 7 percent. Our producers will also respond in kind to these steps.

At the same time, the Credit Guarantee Fund supports worth TRY 60 billion will also have a positive impact on our entrepreneurs and industrialists in terms of employment, production and investment. In the reports we submitted, we shared our expectations regarding the prevention of improper use of the KGF.

With the implementation of a strict monitoring mechanism regarding the Credit Guarantee Fund package, the correct use of the supports provided will be confirmed. This support package, which will be a lifeline for our investors, will expand the opportunities of our industrialists.

Alongside the steps of our state, we too must put our shoulder to the wheel and work wholeheartedly for our country, which is our common denominator. As MÜSİAD, we said that we trust in Türkiye's potential and we accelerated our export-oriented work. We declared 2022 the Year of Investment.

Here I would like to make a call to all the representatives of our business world. Come, let us invest together for the strong tomorrows of our Türkiye. Come, let us touch every corner of Anatolia, let us develop our cities together, let us strengthen employment together."
