The MÜSİAD Saime Sultan Science and Art Centre, built with the contributions of the members of the İnegöl Branch of the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), was opened with a ceremony attended by Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer, Governor of Bursa Yakup Canbolat, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı and Mayor of Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Alinur Aktaş.
Wishing that the MÜSİAD Saime Sultan Science and Art Centre would be beneficial for the teachers and students who will be educated here, Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer said, "When we took office, there were 179 science and art centres in Türkiye. To make it easier for our children to access science and art centres, we increased this figure to 379 and in 2023 we gave good news".
Minister Özer continued his remarks as follows:
"Noting that the science and art centres, a new one of which was opened today, provide educational support to develop the talents of specially gifted students, Özer said, "When we took office, there were 179 science and art centres in Türkiye. To make it easier for our children to access science and art centres, we increased this figure to 379 and in 2023 we gave good news. We said, 'We will establish a science and art centre in all 922 districts so that our children can reach BİLSEMs comfortably.' Thus, by engaging with science and art, may they walk with confident steps towards the future as the TEKNOFEST generation referred to by our esteemed President." he said."
Speaking at the Opening Programme of the MÜSİAD Saime Sultan Science and Art Centre, MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı said, "With its 32 rooms, 24 classrooms and 11 laboratories, our centre will serve our children who succeed in the special talent examinations. It is these well-educated, talented new generations who will build a Türkiye that is strong both in the field and at the table".
In his speech, President Asmalı made the following statements:
"Without doubt, our most important power and wealth are our young generations and our children. With its 32 rooms, 24 classrooms and 11 laboratories, our centre will serve our children who succeed in the special talent examinations. It is these well-educated, talented new generations who will build a Türkiye that is strong both in the field and at the table. In our esteemed President's words, the Teknofest Generation will be the pioneers and soldiers of a Türkiye strong in the field, while the generations to be trained in the humanities and social sciences will be the pioneers and soldiers of a Türkiye strong at the table. We must design our education system in such a way that new generations are raised with an awareness of their age, their origin, their self and their progeny. If we can raise generations that are as visionary as they are attached to their roots and not alienated from their land and their nation, we can secure our independence and our future. We have this potential. This strength exists in the codes of our noble nation, which established an order of peace and justice across continents for centuries. All we need to do is to open the way for our children, provide them with opportunities and support them according to their abilities."
Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer and MÜSİAD President Mahmut Asmalı, who also visited the Hacı Sevim Yıldız Furniture and Interior Design Technology Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in İnegöl, came together with young people and listened to the work being carried out in the field of vocational education.
In his statement here, Minister Özer expressed that MÜSİAD is one of the most important stakeholders in vocational education and said that together they would build a much stronger vocational education system.
