Murat Kundak, Chairman of the MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board, came together with Servet Altaş, President of the MÜSİAD Ordu Branch, Uğur Toparlak, Ordu Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism, the MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board executives and MÜSİAD Ordu members at the Olive Restaurant.
The program, which began with the opening speeches of Murat Kundak, Chairman of the MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board, and Uğur Toparlak, Ordu Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism, continued with the members introducing themselves and their companies. The MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board has begun to focus on tourism activities at home as well as abroad, and within this scope it paid its first visit to the province of Ordu. Stating that such activities would be intensified in other provinces as well, Tourism Sector Board Chairman Murat Kundak said that such meetings were planned and would continue in order to identify tourism needs on the ground and to determine and develop new strategies through consultation with our members in the region. Ordu Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Uğur Toparlak and MÜSİAD Ordu Branch President Servet Altaş stated that this visit would contribute to tourism in Ordu. Expressing his satisfaction with the visit, Ordu Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Uğur Toparlak noted that Ordu is a place very open to tourism, spoke of the great importance of having its sea, its nature and its highlands discovered in terms of tourism, and emphasized that the visit was highly valuable. Expressing his gratitude, he stated that the support of the two sides for one another is indispensable for the development of the region in the name of tourism. At the end of the meeting, MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board Chairman Murat Kundak presented a plaque to Ordu Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Uğur Toparlak.
In the continuation of the visits, an excursion was organized under the auspices of MÜSİAD Ordu to explore the region in order to identify the tourism needs in Ordu on the ground, and consultations were held on what needs to be done. Stating that they had completed a fine organization with the delegation from MÜSİAD, Servet Altaş said: "As a result of the consultations held, we will make Ordu's largest tourism investment, supported by our MÜSİAD Head Office, on at least 100 decares of land in our Çambaşı highland. Before the investment, we will serve Ordu tourism with a boutique hotel. In addition, we have secured a commitment for charter flights to Ordu as of June. We have full confidence that our province, which takes a greater share of the tourism pie with every passing year, will reach even better positions with MÜSİAD's investments." At the delegation's next stop, a visit was paid to the Ordu Governorate together with members of the MÜSİAD Tourism SB and the Ordu Branch. Ordu Governor Mr. Tuncay Sonel expressed his gratitude for the visit and stated that the contribution of tourism activities to Ordu's tourism and to the national economy is great.
On the second day of the visits, a visit was first paid to Hakan Korkmaz, President of MÜSAİD Giresun, and following the consultations held, a gift was presented. In the continuation of the program, a meeting was held in Trabzon to consult with MÜSİAD Trabzon members. At the meeting, where possible cooperation with members operating in the tourism sector and in other fields was discussed, a presentation explaining the structure and activities of the Head Office Tourism Sector Board was made. After the members introduced themselves, mutual cooperation opportunities were discussed. The meeting, which saw broad participation, paved the way for new commercial relations between MÜSİAD Head Office and Trabzon branch members and for increased recognition. After the meeting, MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board Chairman Murat Kundak presented orphan sponsorship certificates to Trabzon Branch President Zafer Ofluoğlu and Trabzon Tourism Sector Board Chairman Çetin Şahin.
