MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board Chairman Murat Kundak and his delegation carried out a number of protocol visits together with MÜSİAD Venezuela Branch President Hayri Küçükyavuz within the scope of a business trip to Venezuela between 20 and 25 April.
Within the scope of the business trip to Venezuela, MÜSİAD Tourism Sector Board Chairman Murat Kundak and his board visited the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Caracas, Mr. Naci Aydan Karamanoğlu, together with MÜSİAD Venezuela Branch President Hayri Küçükyavuz. During the visit, comprehensive assessments were made about Venezuela's tourist locations, the difficulties experienced in the country's tourism sector and the current situation in the field of health tourism. Following the meeting, an "Orphan Sponsorship Certificate" was presented to our Ambassador.
Within the scope of the programme, a visit was also made to the MÜSİAD Venezuela Branch the following day. In the meeting held with Branch President Hayri Küçükyavuz, a detailed exchange of views took place on investment opportunities in Venezuela, and an "Orphan Sponsorship Certificate" was presented to him.
Afterwards, participation was secured in the Türkiye-Venezuela ITB Fair and the stands in the fair area were visited. At the meeting held with the Minister of Tourism of Venezuela after the fair, the Minister expressed that they wish to benefit from Türkiye's experience in the field of tourism. Drawing attention to the fact that increasing the number of flights between Türkiye and Venezuela would make a great contribution to the tourism sector, the Minister stated that thanks to Venezuela's diverse climatic conditions they could operate in many areas of tourism. Sharing that they organize "fam trip" events to promote Venezuelan tourism, the Minister expressed that they expect more visitors from Türkiye.
Our Tourism Sector Board Chairman Murat Kundak expressed that during the visit, together with the members of our sector board operating in different fields, they made observations regarding the work that could be carried out in the name of tourism in Venezuela, and that upon their return these observations would be compiled into a report and shared with MÜSİAD members.
Within the scope of the visit programme, a meeting was also held with the Minister of Economy of Venezuela. The Minister of Economy stated that they are ready to provide every kind of support to investors coming from Türkiye. Introducing MÜSİAD at the meeting, Murat Kundak stated that important developments would take place with the strengthening of relations between Türkiye and Venezuela, and that in this process the incentives and support for our members would be conveyed in detail. The Minister of Economy expressed that various incentives based particularly on the oil sector are available. At the end of the meeting, the Minister of Industry of Venezuela also joined the talks and expressed his support for increasing industrial and investment cooperation between the two countries.
