MÜSİAD EXPO will open its doors on 2-5 November at the TÜYAP İstanbul Fair and Congress Centre. At the fair, where many events in the field of commercial diplomacy will be organized, the topics of food security and the preservation of progeny will be addressed at the IBF Summit.

MÜSİAD EXPO, organized every two years by the Independent Industrialists and Businessmen Association (MÜSİAD), is opening its doors for the 19th time this year. Many events in the field of commercial diplomacy will also be organized at MÜSİAD EXPO, the most comprehensive mixed trade fair in Türkiye and the region.

The International Business Forum (IBF), which will be held within the framework of these events, will this year welcome its visitors with the theme of "Food Security and the Preservation of Progeny".

Within the framework of the aforementioned main theme, "the factors threatening food security" will be addressed, and the topics of "the safety of food and the effects of nutrients on human progeny", which are as important as food security, will also be discussed. At the summit, where "the importance of halal and wholesome food in the preservation of progeny" will likewise be covered, the panel sessions to be held will bring forward proposed solutions to the problems.

IBF President Erol Yarar, who shared his assessments on the subject, pointed out that the crises experienced on a global scale have endangered food security. Touching also on the global supply and logistics disruptions experienced during the pandemic period, Yarar continued his words as follows:

"The political developments experienced on a global scale, economic instabilities, armed conflicts and climate-related problems have endangered food security perhaps as never before in history. While the damage caused by the disruption of supply and logistics chains during the pandemic period has not yet been made up for, the regional conflicts that have taken place have led to a global food shortage and bottleneck. At this point, all countries have been compelled to redesign their strategies with regard to securing food security. As important as ensuring safe access to food is another matter: the safety of food itself. While the problem of access to food affects human life, changes concerning the safety of food directly affect human health and genetics and cause irreversible damage in terms of human progeny. Within this framework, at the 26th IBF Congress that we will hold within the scope of MÜSİAD EXPO, we will strive to convey to academia and the business world how important the concepts of halal and wholesome food are for a healthy generation and how the command of our religion to “preserve progeny and crops” sheds light on our day. In this context, the summit to be held has the distinction of being perhaps the first event to address food security together with the concept of the preservation of progeny."
